  1. I never said it wasn't going to be a great sub. Fs is much lower...
  2. Wow the efficiency looks horrible
  3. Any updates? Will enclosure sizes be similar to the sa line? When will the preorder start?
  4. Sundown's upcoming sa8 v.2 will be amazing for output. I would wait till June for the preorder and go with the sa8 v.2, maybe two
  5. PA roads are horrible. Three weeks ago I nailed a pothole and blew up my front right tire and bubbled my right rear tire. Then this week while driving to work in 6" of snow I ran over a fallen tree branch and blew up my front left tire. WTF. While my car was in the tire center getting new tires I noticed that all four tires were excessively wearing on the insides. This is a camber issue, no doubt. I rotate my tires every 3,000 miles and my tires have always worn evenly. The alignment indicated that my front and rear tires were out of spec. The camber was almost -2.0 on the rear and -1.3 in the front! This was probably due to the +300lbs that is now in the trunk. From the factory camber is not adjustable on the rear tires. They were able to get the camber in spec on the front. I had to purchase and install "pro-arms" in the rear to get the camber back in alignment. Here is a pic.
  6. Awesome pics man! Thanks for sharing. Very cool photo op there. I need to get me one of those hats!
  7. You and me both! Nice work man. I wish I had a plasma cutter!
  8. What are you running for mids and highs?
  9. Good luck with the next box build. You have to hit them lows!
  10. Check out the beginning of this build. I used closed cell foam as a gasket and the trim ring will not work with my mounting bolts. Thanks for looking! My bad its hard to keep up with all the action going on around here, I was thinking of using the allen wrench style screws myself after using them with my old P3's when fosgate supplied them with their subs. It is worth it imo.
  11. Damn Bro, I have missed a lot on your build. This is turning our really nice. Very very clean. Well done Sir. BUT, Did I miss something?????????? Where are the pics of this badass motherpucker at? Lo no you didn't miss any pics if the SRT8. That is my buddies truck. He races it often and would never add weight He runs high 11's in the quarter, no NOS! Ah, I want one! Saw one with STS turbo a few months ago and came a little in my pants. lol Damn, what an SUV. Sorry to get off topic. Your build is coming long very nice Bro. Should sound awesome when you get her all done. I bet rear mounted turbos are sweeeeeettt! A lot of guys do a 427 block swap and supercharger and run in the low 10's. The SRT8 is no joke. My buddies has 8k in bolts and puts out over 500whp and +500lbs. That with the all wheel drive system make it launch like no other. You should see the faces of vette, camaro, mustang, bmw, porsche owners that get spanked, priceless! Thanks for the build log comments!

  14. Thanks stefanhinote. I have alot more work yet. I need to make my RCA's and the front stage which will take some time to complete. House buying is a huge pita!!!!!
  15. Thank you! This is my first setup with Crescendo amps. I have heard great things about them. There make well over rated power and their customer support is good.
  16. It is a DIY unit based on this design but with some tweaks.
  17. Here is a shot of the mock-up for the amp layouts and DQXS. I am trying to cram three pounds into a one pound container and it sucks! This shot shows a couple fuse holders and my relay for my volt meter and turn-ons. I need to seal the trunk off yet. Finally have my volt meter designed and wired up. It is clearly visible from any seating position within the cabin. Vehicle on, HU is in "Standby" (off) mode. Vehicle on, HU is in "Ipod" (on) mode
  18. Thank you. It is taking me FOREVER to complete this!
  19. I can't keep up with Sundown constantly working on product improvements and new releases!
  20. This forum is becoming noob central; all the false information and bickering is becoming mainstream.
  21. Why cant you compare it to XCON or Havoc? This sub looks similar to the TC Sounds LMC Ultra 5400, I wonder what the differences are.
  22. Just an FYI, there isn't a drastic performance difference for a home audio application. As a matter of fact, I'm willing to bet you wouldn't see any difference in that application. Thanks for the info. I am not ready to purchase just yet but I figure by June I will be, just in time for the preorder.
