  1. you can always multiply the single design by 2 and possibly rearrange the box dimensions to fit your space...if you know the basics..
  2. couldnt have said it better
  3. I dont use it, I use a level control for the rca (no need to run anymore wire from front to back), amp gain is set, and control is being done on level controller which is mounted (hand reach) under driver side dash next to center console.
  4. your at the right place ..
  5. for the money, i could also get 2 rockford fosgate p2's they have a rms off 500 each, and are a little cheaper then the dcon. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_34856_Rockford-Fosgate-P2D2-12-11P2D212.html Ive just heard such good stuff about both products, but where i'd be spending the same amouth of money on either i want the most boom for my buck those r/f p2's are 400 w rms not 500 w rms
  6. the icon or decons would be a better choice than the r/f's
  7. you are thinking of putting 2 15", hence you should not be worried about 1 18' you have to determine what space you have to work with and you can take it from there...
  8. I wont be able to tell you if it would work or not, it depends on a lot of factors, you would have to know what amount of cubic ft would be needed for the sub enclosure... as compared to what you have in you car, which you would have to measure, and compare, remember if you are gonna use the space on from the spare tire location then your enclosure would be more intricate to build and may cost more.. You can use card board and make mock box to see what and how it would fit, however again you need to know the amount of cubic ft needed, which, would depend on the woofer..tuning etc.... Alternatively you can use one 18 instead.
  9. yea i know what you mean... if you are set on the 15' aa mayhem you can buy it now and choose to buy a cheaper amp like the Hifonics Brutus BRZ2100.1D and upgrade the amp later, or wait until you can buy the sundown... or if any other member have another other suggestion on a good amp thats with your budget range, another one you can check out is aq amps which is better than the hifonics IMO. I have bought my sundown sax 1200 D from woofers etc but I had some problems with total the charge (shipping, duties etc..) however the called me and notify me, but I still had to pay the ups guy on delivery which they did not indicate to me in the first place or no time, however I let it go because it was a small amount. I think it was because at that time they did not have international checkout, but now they do, so if you are gonna purchase anything from them I would suggest calling them and make sure you understand their checkout procedure and final price you have to pay... you can also check out sonic electronicx I have bought from them before with no problems at all and the do have international/Canadian checkout so you know exactly what you pay at checkout and thats the final amount no other payment. Also I find their prices are good, but their product line is some what limited as compared to the high end equipment you can buy here.
  10. if I were you, I would see my self with 2 choices 1. save up and buy the equipment you want.. or 2. adjust your equipment to suit your budget.. you can still buy very good equipment with your budget...
  11. damn, I forgot you are in Canada too, it sucks here to find proper equipment.... shipping and duties takes up alot...
  12. to reduce cost you can try used amps from dB-r Electronics
  13. listing your goals, listening taste and budget would be a great start am sure members here would be more than willing to help you on your way...
  14. those amps are excellent choices
