  1. So don't. Just ignore her.
  2. Sean, I no longer trust anything you say. I love my Revs more than anything, and they have the best midrange/midbass combination out of any driver I've ever heard. Don't run them IB in a door for car audio though. I have been wanting to play with the Nextels as well, but yeah.
  3. Definate air in the system. Sounds like you might also have a pressure problem. When adding coolant, make sure you do it properly. Many vehicles' fill points are no longer the highest part of the system and either have to be vacuumed or burped through an access hole at the highest point. I believe this is the case for your vehicle.
  4. Is that a Nash Metropolitan with MB headlights?
  5. any other pics of this one? Thats my style, of course i'll never be able to afford even the cheapest of knockoffs Sorry, no. I was trying to get more but people were crowded around the front real bad (of course they moved to the sides as soon as I gave up), and the woman was ready to leave. It was stripped down to the bare metal, I wish I had had time to talk to the guy, cause I don't know how well the pic shows it, but it looked like it had alluminum panels... it was interesting. I read a buildup of this car either in a magazine or on the web. The guy said it would rust as soon as he'd get the metal to the point to clear it, so it has to be steel. Then again, may be a different car.
  6. Tuning lower doesn't necessarily improve "SQ" persay. What it will do is flatten the response which some people will attribute to "SQ." The difference between 32 to 28 is going to be negligible anyways.
  7. Queer.
  8. I have no experience with the Kicker SS drivers, but the RMB8s they replaced were outstanding drivers. No need for a sub with them in a well-deadened door, so I imaging their replacements are even better.
  9. It's a 1.5" coil, what did you expect?
  10. Chevy sucks ass. Ford sucks ass. If I have to fix another thing on that damn truck or car, I'm going to set them both on fire while wrapped with explosives.
  11. IS that the same driver the original GTis were based off?
  12. IB is THE most natural form of "enclosure" in existence. Nothing to attribute to the sound but the driver itself. All resistance is handled by the motor and suspension. There is no other force to act on the driver. Well, in the best circumstances at least. There's always a variable in air pressure throughout a house, then you also have to take in effect the mounting of the driver and potential resonance there, but all other things aside, IB is the way of the world. No other air spring. Can't get any more natural than that.
  13. WTF!
  14. Time for bed and to get this day over with.
  15. Yeah I let TOM get away with pretty much anything. We ALL fear the Yeti.
  16. Why is there any glue on the motor itself? The only glue on that should be on the magnets. None of the moving parts are glued to the motor, so I don't understand.
  17. Great looking so far.
  18. You have NO idea. I'm hanging by a teather. Barely. . .
  19. Have you considered an actual laminate? There is going to be a larger variety and you can avoid the "tile" look.
  20. BTW, Taurus transmissions are SHIT. Way to go Ford. . . .
  21. Why my life sucks, By Ryan Mentag So last night I get happy over the fact that Mach 5 has arrived at the SSaudio store. I proceed to attemp to buy a pair of MJ-18s, but no, I get an error message every time I try to checkout. Nothing fixes it. I was also trying to place an order with Mark himself for some other things, but the store listed them as "out of stock." No biggie, PM Mark and all is well. Fell asleep and forgot to finish my order. No biggie, I'll do it when I get home. Well. . . . Yeah, go to work this morning, get inside K-Mart, get the CC, proceed outside on my way to HD and I notice a large puddle of coolant under my vehicle that I just put 3 new gallons of coolant in last week when I replaced the water pump. Yeah, so I don't sweat it because HD is right up the street. Hop in the car, drive to HD, no problem. Got a little hot, but nothing big. Now, I live 30 minutes fro the Big K, so the drive home was inevitably going to be the worst. So I dump in the gallon of coolant I always carry in the trunk and start the drive home. No sooner do I get to the first light, this bitch is on the A on NORMAL. Hmm, should be good as long as I can keep driving, but NO. I have to hit EVERY FUCKING REDLIGHT so the car has EVERY CHANCE IN THE WORLD to overheat. And of course, it does, several times. Took me over an hour to get home. Get home, pop the bitch up on jackstands, hole in the lower radiator hose. Now, I would have replaced them when I did the pump, but I checked t and it was A-okay. Guess it was only good for another week. So, I go get in the truck to get a hose, but I forgot that last week the brakeline broke. So, after I finally get the truck stopped, by a lovely Tulip tree, I get it in the driveway, get underneath, and not only is the brakeline broke, all the way up IN the framerail, behind the gas tank, which I filled last week (38gal), and of course I have to remove the tank to get to the lines, BUT, the fuel line also has a nasty hole in it, and of course, when I peeked under the truck it decided to relieve some pressure right in my fucking eye. So now, I have two inoperable vehicles, no boom, AND, it gets better. . . Got my replacement amp and new front stage last weekend for the Taurus. Got it all installed on Sunday, well, today, of course I got pissed at the car and turned up the stereo, well, upon getting halfway up, I hear a clanking coming from the ID. Sounds a lot like clipping, but a LOT louder. Can't be lead slap, they just aren't long enough. Can't be clipping because I set the gains with a scope. So what is it? Pull the driver out of the box, which toook another hour due to my paranoia and making things difficult for thieves, and what do I have but a torn spider. Now keep in mind, I have total of $228 invested in this entire system and $100 of that is the sub itself. So I will be damned if I put any more money into this motherfucker. . . And. . . . . Well, I won't go on anymore. It's far too depressing.
  22. That polish is just not available on anything other than stone. It has to be natural or ceramic tile. I have seen VCT and peel and stick vinyl that looks like that, but of course, not the finish.
  23. No, it wasn't. Everytime I click the checkout on the store, I get an error message.
