  1. So I was driving down the road again yesterday and heard a truck with similar sounding exhaust, but I couldn't video it. WTF is wrong with ppl.
  2. If it is your first time reconing I highly suggest 15 minute epoxy. This guy knows his shit. Lol. I agree, being first timer epoxy can be easier. Less to mess up. Actually my first recone I used CA glue. Then after than I used Epoxy. I find I like epoxy better. CA glue can be tricky, if you never used it before.
  3. If this is your first recone, do not spray before you attach the spider or surround. Wait till after, to much sure you have it set. Cause once you apply the accelerator, its there. Also, do not use accelerator on the dust cap! It will cause the glue to turn white. Some say not even to use CA glue. I actually use 10-15 min epoxy for recone.
  4. No offense, but just because a company has subs that look nice doesn't mean they owner knows his "shit". Even though in this case, Jake knows quiet a bit. But coming onto a Company's section asking those question isn't the best way to get answers. You could of started a thread in the properly section and let other members of this forum help you. You don't have to own a company or design subs to know anything about them.
  5. Mike, but in this thread I ask him about Crescendo, since he started this thread. Just figured I'd make another point. He just singled out one company but the rest don't apply. But like you said, this is enough, well unless I see more ignorance on his part.
  6. I don't care really. I know your argument is weak. As most seen it also but just didn't waste their time.
  7. ROFL. I little to raspy for a Harley, but good way to describe it.
  8. He was the one hating because SSA hasn't release specs for Zcon yet. Yeah man my 3kwp pops but it isn't bad. I turn my volume to zero before I turn the system off then when I turn it back on I don't get the pop. I haven't glass'd my doors yet so I haven't wired my 1000c4 up. I am going to replace the capacitor ahead of time. Hopefully 807tubenut is right, I have no doubts he is I am going stick with my current amps indefinitely but the bc's are next! I'm surprised your not stating your opinion than you don't like that Crescendo didn't design these amps from the ground up and all the parts in it. Cause there are other companies who actually design there boards and a few actually builds them in house. If your going to down one company for it, you should be fair and down them all. I am not explaining the reasoning for my opinions to you again. If you don't like that tough shit man. Well, I'm just saying, don't single out one company, as they are the only ones who doesn't souly design their subs. You would actually probably be surprised at who designs what. I mean your argument could easily apply to amps. I'm sure Crescendo didn't design this board, and I'm there don't build anything that has to do with the amp. But there are other companies who design and actually build there amps, so why don't you point that out? Since you rather go with a company who designs there own stuff and release info... I don't see Crescendo falling into that category. *Not that I'm downing Crescendo, this is just to make a point. Phuck man you just do not get it. You are turning into a rash on my ass... And you point is is that you are trolling around bringing up a previous discussion that has no place here. Crescendo released product pictures, descriptions, build house info and prices before the presale even started. Props. SSA will not even release driver specs to customer that already have the product. I do not agree with that sales tactic. I am the customer with money. Without customers businesses fail. If customers want specs on products then give it. SSA chooses not too. Cool. I got it. I will spend my money elsewhere. Do you work for SSA? No. Do I owe you anything? No. Now for the love of car audio, phuck off. His nature. That is more than likely why he was banned on other forums. But this does have a place here. I'm talking about you, and Crescendo amps. You started the thread and its about Crescendos, so why wouldn't this be on topic? And what your saying now, isn't what you said in the Zcon thread. You was talking more about SSA not designing anything, and you would rather spend your money with another company who did. Heck, even the company you said updated you, wouldn't post T/S specs on their new PA Drivers. What did you say about that? But your nitpicking little shit to down a company and say this one is better, but in reality, it has done the exact same thing you don't like about SSA. Still, I bet everything your down about SSA, I can give you a example of a company you do like, that has done the same or similar things.

  10. Do you mean you over tightened and stripped the wood out and and they just didn't hold? I could see that happening.
  11. Common with drywall screws. Gotta use deck screws, you probably knew that I've seen drywall screws break, but not back out? Also, using MDF, I guess I could see the wood not holding the screw anymore. Say for example if you used the same hole more than one time, MDF doesn't like that. But Birch, drywall screws, I'm not picturing screws "backing out".
  12. Once you order, you automatically get sent a tracking number. Don't get that confused from it being shipped. If it says billing infomation received, your order is being processed and Hasn't shipped yet. Now if you see movement of the package, it has shipped. I just figured I'd let you know before you wait a week and its not there yet. It usually takes a few days to build the sub(depinding on lead time). I was just making sure he didn't read it wrong. I've seen countless people come on here, having a tracking number for two weeks and its still not delivered and raising hell. Just because it said bill info received, they thought it was shipped.

  14. Sweeeeet. Mechman is adjustable, so I could see why it would cost more.
  15. I've never heard of such? I'd see it rather difficult for wood screws to back out?
  16. Did you read ANY of the above posts? That's a dumb question, you know he can't comprehend. Well at least from what I've seen. Perhaps he can read, but comprehension is not one of his strong suits. If that's the case, not reading at all is better.
  17. This was about to be my next post. He just knows of one company who posts details about them designing subs, so he thinks they all do but SSA. In my other post, I didn't mean SSA didn't have nothing to do with the designing part, just meant they didn't souly design it for various reasons. Which I can understand(and most others can too). Ignorance will always reign, no matter how much information you put in front of them.

  19. I rather let two guys with well over 10 years of designing and building speakers/subs, than a company who release info every week about updating their design but doesn't actually touch the sub. SSA's buildhouse can actually design a speaKer, go out to the machine shop and build a prototype. Then can test it fairly quickly and see what needs to be changed. With other companies, they design the speaker on a computer, then has to wait a few months to receive a proto. So they end up talking instead of testing. Your arguments are pointless, and your just trying to find any reason to talk shit.

Like TC wasn't already overpriced. Jesus.
  22. I have no problem voicing my opinion whether it is liked or not. I own a SSA product. Unless I see some product design testing (by SSA) and specs it will be the last. MY OPINION -1 if you like. LOL, only -1 I see is mine from someone who is apparently very butthurt. Do you need a hug? That is a lame response Lance. If you are going to rep SSA and be part of Team SSA I would think you should respond with a little more intelligence and dignity. BTW tell us how many deebeez (4) 18" ZCON and +12,000wrms produces. Should be high 150's ATLEAST imo. How do you know how well it should meter? Lance didn't build something that just gets loud in a certain spot, just to impress people on a internet forum. People lose sight of that, Lance built his to listen to it. Period. All I gotta say is your a straight up hater. You think you know something, but you really don't. You down SSA but working with two of the best in this industry to help them design a sub, instead of doing it souly alone. I see this as a positive. I much rather have a sub designed by people who know what they are doing, than a random person who wants to have there own company. Or a company who just copies other outdated subs, then sells them for a great deal more than the originals. And why do you need proof for testing? Since when does companies give you the behind the scene of any testing? I don't know many, or any at all. Just because they didn't post pictures of previews drivers, doesn't mean they don't exist. I find it better not to release protos that might not have a chance to make it to productions. Simply because, you don't have to worry about hyping and not delivering. But at the end of the day, a hater will find any reason to hate. Even if they don't make any sense.
  23. I know Troy is a good guy, and I couldn't imagine him just holding money for no reason. Hopefully something will happen soon. It seems all alternator/bracket companies are having little problems like this. Seems it just the nature of the buisness. I'm not going to comment on this situation, or any other because I don't know the whole story, or really care. Just hope everything can get worked out.
  24. GL man. I would vote, but I'm no longer a member there.
