I had a similar experience to yours, about the same. In my car, I still haven't put my rear seat completely back in since Saturday. The back is sitting on the hooks, but is not bolted in yet. I am still waiting to have money to get my 100.4 so I can finally be running amplified components. (although right now I don't have a driver's side midbass b/c somehow my morel decided to chit the bed on just headunit power).

I killed a morel pulse mid-bass today on hu power... I am a little pissed. Maybe morel will send me the set of tempo midbass's since they don't do the pulse series anymore.

Right now it has been a combo of velcro, second skin and duct tape. Oh but the main reason why my car is still driving is my majority of listening is classical music, not rap.

I am all for the 2jz for top v6, I would have to dispute the 3sgte with the 4g63 however. As for a v8 I am going to have to say the lsx.

I don't even want to know how bad I am beating the piss out of my battery. Total rms wattage available on 14.4 volts (unlimited current) is a little over 4300 watts. Actual current available: 85 ampere alt (30% = 25 amperes) actual voltage at rest (car on 13.9).... My system is living but an alt is in my very near future with a kinetik hc2400 Well at 4300RMS at 13.9v you need a 312amp alternator. At 14.4v you need a 303amp alternator. heh ummm ya your killing your system I am killing my car as well. Some of my exhaust heat shielding has come undone from my under body, my mirror has fallen off soo many times I have given up, and my shifter no matter how many times I tighten the allen bolt will come off every 2-3 days. Ohh and need I say that my batteries static with the car off is 12.2 volts and is only 3 months old. I can stall my car with a test tone at full tilt, so yea my car is dying.

we were all looking at the dopey link. About her trunk. I am not one to rush things. But in retrospect I did convince her to come over for the night tonight (she gets here a little after 1 am when she gets out of work).

I just want to add, that I would also second the 2 8" route in an 00 mustang. And system to me means: Headunit, at least one set of speakers, sub stage and amps.

Chevy girl and I are moving in a rather positive direction... She offered to let me drive her baby today. 91 camaro rs. We have been looking at camaro's for me. I have decided to stick with my guy and go after an ls1. We also were dealing with a chevy rep about her order of an 09 Camaro in SOM.

not really, lol. You probably wouldn't have enough time to get them frozen, and pulling them out of your box to chill would be a major pain. Setting the motors in ice between rounds will only chill the motor a little bit whereas letting it sit in a freezer for 24 hours will get it to a nice ~0* temperature.

The motor trick works very well, freeze the motor/ sub. And you will gain ~ 1db on the first burp, the good news is your average gain will be ~ .6 db's for an hour or so.

The morel's sound awesome amplified, right now they are running off of deck power and are eagerly waiting some real power. The hertz tweeters on the other hand are very happy seeing ~16 watts per side as they are for ambiance.

Basically Aaron/ SSA's concern is making sure that you are fully aware/ comfortable with knowing that you are buying the amp without any warranty. The amps draw a lot of current... I mean a lot. Over 300 amperes @ .5 ohms. each. You are talking about needing 5 200 amp alternators to make these amps happy. My suggestion would be 2 saz-3000d's strapped to the 1.5 ohm final nominal impedance. set the gains carefully and add another alt if room allows to run a dual alt, (300 ampere alts).

I think degaussing is for removing static electricity but I could be wrong. I knowit didn't help when I magnetized my monitor. Only not being powered for a while did. I would still use it, but just sparingly. check my email, change my aim away message or whatever but than shut it right back off.

I have done it to my computer monitor. I would turn it off for a day or two and see if it will go away. My monitor's went away in about 18 or so hours.

I am interested.... I have never played with any subwoofers out of the 10" range.

A 1991 camaro, a 2000 chevy silverado (lifted 8 inches) a 1985 k1500 lifted 6 inches, my own personal Camaro (looking for one for my own b-day etc... The neon is just getting old and using neons for audio cars is just starting to get depressing. I figure if I take a year or two off of audio I can have a decent car to play with. * I have yet to add a real battery and do not suggest running the 1500d's at 1 ohm strapped (.5 each) off of a factory charging system*

It's too bad my neon started acting up as soon as we got to Maryland. So we turned around and started the long 6 hour drive home. I have been running mine @ 1ohms for almost a week now, with no electrical system to back them... *I know I know*. As long as you set your gains properly the amps will take it fine. Just be smart with the volume if you don't have the charging system to support it.

good morning/ night hop... JDM good movies. Going to pick up my aero-ports, driving the car interiorless right now, rebuild tomorrow before leaving on Sunday for MD.

His are also broken in and in a larger ported box. All helping that sub to move to its fullest potential.
