Don't knock it til you try it. Most efficient amps out there rated @ 13.8 and half the size of an AQ3500

I think its funny that they take a sub like an Fi Q or SSD and throw garbage parts in it. WHAM! Give you a power handling quote of 3k. They just rebuild, and they insist you send your sub in because they build with what they have laying around. I use their store to buy terminals, baskets, even glue sometimes because they usually have it at my door in 2-3 days.

probably. The sound you're losing on that back hatch makes me want to pull my hair out, but since she listens to techno mostly she likes the intermittent slams.

My girl has an '01 eclipse. I made a amp rack on stilts to go over that middle hump and have a 15" Fi Q sealed. The sub sounds good but when turned up rattles the shit out of that hatch door. I would do sub forward port forward definitely even if you have sound proofed exc.

I have mine in 3.1 cu. tuned to 32 and it sounds sexy. L port is 3 inches width...but runs the height of box..I think I gave it in the neighborhood of 16 sq inches of port

You can find a lot of decent amps for 1/3 of the price of JL and a lot of amps that are better IMO for 1/2 the price.
