  9. I have my TC 3k in a 3.1 ft^3 tuned to 32hz and it plays every note with great SQ and gets stupid loud. I have been thinking about getting another one. I am just not sure if I want to do that or a other single sub set up. Thanks for your testing, was a very interesting read. It sums up what I had thought with out having the time to test. Chad
  10. I normally check out Fi's web site at least once or twice a week. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised to see the updated look. Check it out. https://ssl.perfora.net/www.ficaraudio.com/...ndex.shopscript Chad
  11. Just to update. I am going with a Mach 5 IXL 12. Going to run it off of a Phoenix gold tantrum 1200.1 I will start a new build log when I start the install. Thanks for all of your opinions and help. One of the main reasons for picking the IXL was price, A friend (Darin) of mine was upgrading and sold it to me for a unbeatable price. Chad
  12. sorry I assumed they were both 4x4's. Chad
  13. If they are both 1/2 ton trucks no they will not work. Dodges are 5 lug with a crorss section of 5.5" and Chevy's are 6 lug but I'm not sure the cross section. 3/4 and 1 tons are both 8 lug with 6.5 " cross section so they may work depending on back spacing. They do sell adapters for the 1/2 ton but they are 3/4 -1" thick and I wouldn't recommend using them. Chad

    nice
  15. "sorta" I have found some decent full range for around 50.00 for the pair. 65-80 for the seas however I wouldn't need the processing just yet. you do bring up a valid point with total cost. I know I would be better off just to wait until I have enough money. I just lack patients. Chad
  16. Ok so I am bringing this back. I am waiting for the sub to come in (Custom MJ 18 DVC 4). I am thinking of putting it in a 3.5 ft^3 sealed enclosure. I will be powering it off a Eclipse xa1000 480 watts @2ohms. As for the front stage, I have a idea but not sure if it would work or not. I was thinking of picking up either a eclipse xa 4000 or ea 4000, It has built in crossovers LP 50-500 as well as Hp 50-500. So this is what I was thinking(feel free to state your opinions) pick up a set of full range 3.5 or 4" coaxils put them in the dash Hp @450hz then put a mach 5 6.5 in the doors subsonic set to 60 hz and Lp @ 500 hz. (is this pos, with out sounding horrible?) Now I know this is not active. I am looking for strong midbass with a decent midrange and highs. Without all the processing as it is not in my budget right now. I listen to all sorts of music, metal, hair bands, rap, country, classical, rock. pretty much all music. With using the mach 5 6.5's I can upgrade later when I have the processing and use SEAS 27TFNC Neo textiles and do a full active set up. let me know what you think. Chad
  17. What voice coils do you have? D1's or D2's? If D2's I would say saz 3000d @2ohms the output would be around 2000 watts. If D1's I would say saz 1500d @1ohm the output should be around 1700 watts. Just my opinion Chad
  18. great work Chad
  19. I would go with the two 12 187's as well. Although I like single 15. benifits of the 2 12's IMO price, more cone area, 2 motors vs 1. I would also go with a single 8" port if your worried about space. A single 8" tuned to 34hz in 4cuft would need to be about 23.5" long while 2 6" would need to be about 28.5" long. Just my opinion. Chad
  20. ok so only 2 of us. I know there is more. Chad
  21. very nice. Chad
