  1. It certainly depends on your goals. The thing about running two different speakers playing the same frequency is that you will have cancellation and timing issues.
  2. Since it's way cheaper they get it a bit more often too! They charge ~$7 for the Frosty Paws now, almost double what it was a year or two ago.
  3. Plain yogurt, peanut butter, honey, and bananas all mashed together and freeze. I still grab the Frosty Paws sometimes but they like the homemade stuff just as much if not more.
  4. I have to get him some Frost Paws. My dogs love that stuff! It's easy and much cheaper to make your own.
  5. Less is more. Running a single 8 will be better, and it will be easier to achieve good sound.
  6. Put them all "flat" or at 0 before setting the gain. Don't put them up after either.
  7. Thanks for your work! You have the best calculator that I have come across.
  8. Yay!
  9. It's all good, we all start somewhere.
  10. What is the voice coil configuration of the sub? How did you set your gain? You are most likely smelling a hot voice coil from too much power, most likely from clipping. The clipping is due to an improper gain setting or the use of bass boost.
  11. Sent one now, sorry I did forget.
  12. Hard for me to tell with the angle of the pics, but I was thinking maybe a bit too low.
  13. Hmm, I'm surprised it took this long.
  14. My dogs had lobster tail and tri tip a few weeks ago for their Bday.
  15. Yeah I don't understand what you are wanting to do. Try to explain it a bit better.
  16. Most of the products I've had from them weren't good at all, they were pretty obviously extremely cheap and lower quality in their design and construction, though their customer service was top notch. Just glancing at the page, assuming they used a quality buytl compound designed to actually function as a constrained layer damper it should be fine although there isn't enough information on the website to determine how effectively it actually performs as a CLD. The price seems relatively in-line with comparable products. However, I will also say that there is more to being a quality provider of sound deadening than selling a good product. They also need to have the experience and technical understanding to be able to assist customers in their purchase and application of the product to allow them to achieve their goals in the most efficient, effective and cost effective manor. I doubt anyone in the industry will ever be able to match Don in that arena, which is why he'll continue to be the only person/company/product I'll recommend. What have you bought from Knu that wasn't good quality? I know that some of their rca's have been known to fail, and their battery terminals suck in my opinion. I haven't had any issues with their power wire.
  17. Happy Birthday to Ferdinand our four legged SSA member!
  18. "cheaper" read a few post back. There is no point in giving them more than the 300 that they are rated for.
  19. Why did you downgrade? Apparently I'm an idiot, ha. My thought process. "ERMAGERD A SALE. ON A BRAND I'VE HEARD GREAT THINGS ABOUT KINDA. I ONLY HAVE 1 12. LET'S DO TWO." ...and that about sums it up. :l You're not an idiot you just have some learning to do. Step 1: Make sure you get your info from a reliable source. Two twelves will be louder than one W3. However I would have added another W3 before picking up the skars.
  20. I tried to behave. just funny. Can't argue with that.
