  1. Yesterday was a big day for SSA, the release of prototype pictures, and we made major strides towards better security. We have a dedicated IP for better security on the entire website and even more secure transactions on the store.
  2. I love that car, great mix of scoot and everyday driving. I can admit I am just as much a BMW person at heart as I am MB. Just my family has a history with MB's, but I have worked on many a 3series. My Amanda test drove the 530i, and loves it, so you guys better buy a ton of stuff from the store so I can make her happy.
  3. Jim, I understand your thoughts, but this application was the easiest way for us to break into the market. I did not intend for the SSA sub to take on the likes of the MAG in perfomance or the L7 in sales etc., just a well built sub that sounds great and is versitale. If I had the requsite $xx,xxx in my pocket to mahine and design something ground breaking, I would. This is just to get us started, and if we sell a few and people love them then great. I mean DIYMA did it, why can't we do it better?

Ok great, look forward to it. We have seen plenty of MD2 reviews, but not enough MD1 or MD3 yet.
  5. I feel bad for your batteries
  6. I fried a few alts in my explorer, one most recently 3 months ago. Ended up just saying f' it and going to the junk yard and getting a bone stock used alt for the time being.
  7. I have been using my 2500D for everything lately, and keep in mind I have more than one sub amp to choose from. It has done a great job for me from anything as low as .75ohm and as high as 8ohm. My RL-p 12 held the full brunt of the 2500D @4 ohms, so just be smart about it and you will be fine.
  8. I personally have not heard of anyone modding that amp. Do you need to send more voltage to it or go lower in load?
  9. l33t! WTFmate Great choice in equipment Tom! Guess those amps will help a little with hook up on launches. I hope you are finished in time to show Mark how sweet the little RL-i's are. Keep the pix coming.
  10. I think that is a great sub/amp combo.
  11. A default?
  12. There is no set release date. But I do not forsee any major changes that need to be done to the prototype, so maybe some minor adjustments it could hit production faster than average.
  13. The plan is to use the standard SSA logo. Clean and simple.
  14. We should be on target for that price range. Maybe a few dollars below the above stated amount.
  15. Thanks Lukas, we are starting with dual 2 ohm copper coils. If demand is there we will consider more voice coil configurations.
  16. It could look like a bunch of stuffs. Doesn't mean it sounds or performs like one! I'm excited. nG Me too, even though it will probably be low production numbers to start with, if we sell a few and people like them, then it was a success in my eyes.
  17. If it means anything, the SSA shop could offer a multi amp discount.
  18. Kent, the hardest thing for people to do is maintain the drive. If you can stay motivated, or set short goals, your success will be easier I feel.
  19. Momento was awesome.
  20. Aaron Clinton replied to DevilDriver's topic in Off Topic
    SWEET!
  21. I just don't want people thinking "oh that looks like such and such so it must be the same thing" (ie. MAG and Q)
  22. I am super excited about our little project that is just starting.
