  1. Great to see another wagon on TeamSSA And I see a Zeff designed CV amp.
  2. You never slow down! I will, it will just be a total stop. Hey you can always join me in August for my birthday. No vacation time stored up at the old/new job, and the last few weeks have shown why SSA cannot be run solo for more then a few days.

  4. Actually it is priced quite well for the material, the quality, the detail and especially who is building them. There are plenty of options for high tuned, cheaply slapped together 5/8" MDF boxes on ebay. These are a much higher quality enclosure for customers who want a superior product, lighter material, better built and longer lasting with less peaky performance. Just like our SSA sub woofers, if you want the metaphorical Kia, get an Audiopipe, but if you want the metaphorical Mercedes, get the SSA, or in this case a Khaotik. In other words, a high end American made-to-order product for customers who want some of the best on the market. I meant no offense buddy. I just can build my own enclosure for less is what I am referring too Well yeah, you're not paying for labor or shipping.
  5. Uber busy weekend ahead.
  6. From the photo's, it appears to just be cosmetic damage from shipping.
  7. Rick is a great member here and has always been a good guy.
  8. Hey, I know those two Funky Pups!!! He is sitting next to me now.
  9. For the Icon, we wanted to bump up the motor strength with the new model, we could add a shorting ring down the road after sometime and modeling/testing etc. with an updated version. But it will only add more machining time and more cost to an already VERY costly to build driver in it's respective market segment, for factional gains in lowered inductance that customers have not shown any signs of wanting yet. The Evil plays so flat and clean as it stands, it does not need it. Side note, the Evil needs less juice to get up and rolling from the start then the Zcon. It is unfortunate that sound quality is an after thought for most buyers. Which I am sure is why the market is more biased towards spl. I would love to see Klippel results for all SSA drivers That would answer a few questions some folks have like myself. Just because the market does not demand the SQ I prefer, that does not mean in the slightest we over look it or ignore it in our sub woofers. In general, SQ biased sub woofers, usually need greater development time, higher levels of accuracy in construction due to it that part of the market being so spec driven, tighter tolerances, etc. etc. etc. All leading to much higher build costs. With that said, the internet market is blindly ruled by RMS ratting relative to price. Hence why our original Gcon approach was shelved due to the pricing having to be up in the Icon range. We do have Klippel test results from the original Icon, but that machine is no longer in unbiased hands. Would much rather have Sean (///M5) with access to superior testing equipment be sent some models for test results, but then again, that would cost a good chunk of money we do not have to spend.
  10. Lucky duck. No shit.

  12. You're confusing people, a modest wattage ratted SQ sub woofer getting loud??
  13. Glad your back, and I always appreciate the positive feedback. People never believe me when I say the Dcon will really surprise you, until they hear it. The conservative ratting and very affordable price tag for one of the last made in the USA sub woofers in it's class, seems to make people unsure.
  14. Yes. One of the initial designs for the F/Gcon was underhung with shorting rings. There are two other models, one that is not in production, and one that is, that may gain one. But for those who may not understand, some of the models need the greater motor strength over fractional gains in inductance.
  15. Really do like the matte blacked-out mod's.
  16. They will not run out of stock that fast. Crescendo placed this mega order for PWX's back in August, so that is more then enough time for the factory to build and ship to him, but clearly there has been some shipping issues. We are checking with Navid constantly for the orders through us, as it has cost us orders and created some very pissed off customers (read: lost customers) at us when we can only go on the info Crescendo has provided.
  17. Where did you send the email? I am mostly caught up. Your order will require additional shipping to Canada, but the sub's will ship out from NY. Mark has been out of town for a few days (where your subs are), his flight home has been delayed a few times. Soon as he is home, he will catch up with any questions that were sent to him.
  18. The dog with the soccer ball is great.
  19. As this topic has run it's course and served it's purpose, I am closing it. All of this was over just a few orders that were knocked out of order due to a mistake at the build house that was and still is costly for us, it upset some customers and caused tremendous stress and long nights making sure all customers got what they ordered. A few things: This is completely NOT the norm with the time lineThis was only a few ordersThe factory has corrected the issueThe factory has added staffThe factory is in a new and larger locationBuild / lead times are getting less and less each weekWhen the factory is able to, we will have a small inventory built up again
  20. I was granted care of some Funky Pups from Apophis a number of years ago.
