Dude if they had a table saw in the maintenance shop here I probably would build enclosures at work I think there is a Mitre saw in the wharehouse for building displays for the sales team.

Structural engineering firms usually don't have the air tools needed to remove a door laying around the office.

They are very beefy just look at the picture below. I believe there is a video of the a 15" Icon sealed, and a few people in pick ups with 12" Icons sealed on www.TeamSSAudio.com .

They would match up fine with a pair on 1500 watts in a sealed box.

They are some what different subs with different design goals in the end. Is sheer output or clean sound your priority? Both will have a good sound and strong output, but they each, when installed correctly, have their strengths.

nucell01, if you don't mind me asking, why are you stressing ported? I am not saying its bad at all, just wondering since you said you were new to ported and you have very nice door speakers.
