  1. There is a canadian car audio forum too but I forgot what it was and guys on there know about the internet companies like Fi.
  2. Nice sarcasm. Shows how much people know about the stuff they are going to buy. hehe. Also, things made in china don't necessarily mean that they are junk or cheap. It depends on the company that oversees the products they get from the build houses.
  3. your battery is still connected to the alt so your amp is still going to pull current from the battery too. Why do you want to do this? Don't get a cap.
  4. 1 per or get a single bigger amp.
  5. Dude, that was really a dick comment but it was kinda funny.
  6. fixed. hehe. If you ask Shizzzon, he will tell you how much of a real dick I am around these part of KY.
  7. Don't forget they probably have orders before you too. Give them some time. Its made per order.

  9. bitch you have no powers to close this.
  10. Meh, sometimes he's an ass but he's helpful a lot of the time. And I think its just something about being behind the keyboards. I sometimes see my posts almost like I was set out to make someone feel like shit. But its just sometimes people set themselves up for it. And the biggest thing about the INTERNET is.... seriousness. not. Don't take anything to heart from anyone. I bet you ///M5 is a sweet guy in real life.
  11. Dude, I know. I know its the BLs because I checked the youtubes lol. And OP - what kind of mic are you metering your setup because from what I see in the videos, it doesn't look to be a TermLab.
  12. Wow, I'd like to know that info too. edit - found some info. BMW hatch FI 10'S WONT SAY WHAT THEY ARE THERE SPECIAL" 2 AUDIO QUE 2200'S 2 KENETIK 2400'S 1 DC ALT 185 @ IDLE" 1 MLA MOD CHARGING @ 15.8 VLTS UHH HUH!!! Lucky ass. I cannot wait to get my DC Power alternator back when its done powder coating. I want to say these are BLs?
  13. AP also has the ap1800d amp too. Just make sure that the ads say 1800 rms at 1 ohm or you may be getting an amp that is not the ap1800d or 1500 rms at 1ohm for the ap1500d. The ap 1500d is 150 shipped and the ap 1800d, I have seen for 190 shipped. I have an AP 30001D and a 1500D. I couldn't be happier with either. I have also had the bxi 1206d and the bxi 1606d from hifonics. They were good amps as well. Didn't mess up on me. I just had to sell them because of a different direction I was going. And 200 watts is not going to be noticeable from 2000 to 1800 watts. Price is different though. However I have not seen much talk about the ap 1800 watt amp. The 1500 and the 3000 have been tested and showed great numbers.
  14. Shit, I even said it first lol. F you Sean.
  15. Really, you think its the same thing because they tell you that its rated for 220 amps? And at what rpm is that rated at? and what is idle rating? Their idle rpm is probably 1k rpm too. A well built high output alternator is expensive. Call or email mechman or DC Power Alternator.
  16. damn. In on this great looking build.
  17. If this is the audiopipe ap30001d model then you are not getting around 900 watts to that sub. At 2 ohms, its 3000 watts at 14.4 volts for that amp. And if this is your sub, http://www.crutchfield.com/S-cPAoE4CgbIO/p_2067C15VR4/Kicker-CompVR-07CVR154.html, then its way too much for the sub, rated at 500 watts rms. No wonder the sub doesn't like "900 watts".
  18. Depending on your car's engine, DC Power can get idle amperages above 200 amps with a single alt. Think of the duals.
  19. a d3100 is good enough in the trunk with a 200 amp alt.
  20. Get different cones then if you cannot mod it to where it will stop cutting into the surrounds. Or cut out the cones and sand the edges smoother. I haven't heard anything about this, but those are just ideas. Good luck to you.
  21. I am kind of leery about the thickness and surface area of those aluminum buss bars. Better get the copper in soon.
  22. Rob said something is wrong with his phone because some people cannot get through to him for some weird reason. I tried calling his phone and I get voicemail right away but when I email him, he gets it and answers on his phone.
  23. lol. I think he likes you better. I am set though so no worries.
  24. Well thats the same with me. Mechman never answered. I called a Ohio Gen and they said they were going to call back and they never did twice. Iraggi wouldn't answer any questions besides what is stated on his ebay ads, which I read and needed more info on. I hear that he has been getting better with his customer service though. I have a friend that really likes his mechman alt and only Mechman and DC Power have had outstanding reviews.
  25. DC Power FTW! I want to say that I have told you about DC Power before, didn't I.
