24" Tantric Subs on CT Sounds 7K getting stupid LOW!
What's the VAS on those subs? I'm gonna guess that hatch space remaining is not 10x the VAS of those drivers, almost running like a normal sized sealed enclosure until you open the hatch?

Tymphany LAT 700 Car Install
Any help at all? I can answer as many questions as possible, will be run on music, trying to tune box low for flat response but enclosure size limitations may hinder that. I just need some enclosure design help.

I wouldn't have posted this if I hadn't looked at what other people have done. I'm a tinkerer and looking to build something from scratch for fun.

Tymphany LAT 700 Car Install
Hey guys, a friend of mine is looking to install his Tymphany Lat 700 in his Chevy Astro. Currently I'm looking at 40x21.5x10 with 2 3" ports. Length of 15" for the ports tuned to 24Hz. Torres says this is correct. It's mainly a show piece, and he wants to get it moving. Can anyone help me out with a box design or recommendations? It's kind of an odd driver(s) http://www.tymphany.com/files/resources/dlat/LAT700-001.pdf Sub will be used on music not Home Theater

X12 or Z4 12
ROFLMAO I'm at work and we have a guy who repairs McIntosh, and all the home audio stuff. He BARELY speaks English. I believe he's said 6 words to me since I've worked here. He just walked by and outta nowhere yells out OH YEA THAT'S THE GOOD!

Welcome to the IHoP v.2
Had that happen to me last year. At 300 feet and fried electrical. It got hit by lightning, so I figured Nationwide would be on my side. Nope. $3600 to have it done (opted for the best pump available and the best wire) and they shit on me. Fuck Nationwide. I dropped those cunts. So you are saying nationwide is not on your side? No. I assure you, they are not. Yes, they are. They just never specified WHICH side of you they're on. USAA insurance ftw. If you are or were a soldier I highly recommended them. Great fir banking too. One stop shop.I love me some USAA.

1 X10 Vs 2 SA-8 V.2 on 1000w RMS
Eric designed the v1,2, and 3 of the IDMAX. No clue what the story is on the new ones, but I have found Eric to be one of the friendliest, and hard-working industry. I'll only use the older ones. Once he left, so did I.

Small in size amp around 300 rms 4 ohm
Amplifiers under 2" tall are hard to find. This is 2.16" and cheap. http://www.ebay.com/itm/American-Bass-PH-1600-MD-Car-Amp-/251362793219?pt=Car_Amplifiers&hash=item3a8663d703

Thinking about grabbing a Pioneer VSX-522-K. Low price and seems to have most functions.

I'm thinking I'd be happy with 5.1. This is the best I can do at work Sean. MSPaint for the win.

"Primo" subwoofer updated with heat ring
I will get a pair of these when available, but don't confuse the Ethos as an SPL driver and the Primo as an SQ driver. I'll be running a single 15 Ethos, it's an SQ driver that discovered Dianabol.

I have a Bob Carver Sunfire True Subwoofer Architectual for sub setup, amp is being repaired at the moment. I have a pair of little Paradigm bookshelves, and a 3 driver Paradigm center channel at the moment. I can get receivers for cheaper than craigslist. I just need to know how much of a difference 7.1 vs 5.1 makes and what I can build. I'm not interested in buying some already setup speakers. I'd really like to build an array, just because I think the project would be a blast.

Dirt Cheap Home Theatre
I've got plans to build something dirt cheap for my apartment. I don't know if the difference in 5.1 and 7.1 is necessary or not. I am 100% honest with this subject, I know jack dick about Home Audio. Our company does ultra high dollar installations and sells equipment so getting a receiver shouldn't be too much. I'm interested in how to go about building inexpensive driver setups. I think Arrays are pretty damn cool, is this an option?
