They'll likely be louder..lows etc etc is all given to the install, once the suspension breaks in they will start to shine like the Q's did on the low end...you should have a decently similar response if you are putting them in the same enclosure. Thanks -Nick

The one in the theater sounds fine, granted sound quality and spl is given to the install mostly..not the woofer itself.

Nothing at all to do with Destijl, as far as i know that company is down a beaten path way off in left field somewhere..never to be seen again, forget that name its gone. AA will have one authorized place to purchase on the internet, otherwise it will be a STRICTLY dealer based entity. Before you ask "are the prices going to go up to retail" the answer is no. They are/will be very competitive with the online market for the performance that you get. AA/Fi is not a merger per say...but you'll see how that works out soon. I didn't want to say that we're not going to come out with components because we are with the AA line, as well as many other do-dads and gadgets as far as drivers go just not with Fi...so i entertained the idea that it still might happen with us . Fi is staying direct, and only direct.

Properly designed ported enclosures can sound as good if not better than a sealed one...i've got a little 8 ported in the 4 runner for sq sounds damn good.

No you can't run it in the BL with the same enclosure, even if we could recone it. I'm not sure where the sub is made, but a lot of chinese manufactures use an oddball size coil that isn't exactly 3".

In the 4 runner yep, single id8v3 ported in 1 cube with 2 2.5" vents 13" long...~60 watts Sounds good, gets loud..i cant find anything to beat it In the Celica i've got a SSD 12 with the copper coil on a dei1100d for time being...
