2 cubic feet is recommended for them, low end and efficiency will increase with the larger enclosure, just remember, you have a gain on your amp for a reason, use it correctly and you won't have any problems.

Yes, there is a large difference in mechanical power handling when using a vented enclosure; but as your enclosure is only 2.25 cubic feet you should not run a risk of mechanically damaging your speaker. Thermal power handling is another story, but that is entirely up to you and how hard you are on it.

Even then, it will still drop, there is lag in your alternators response to current consumption. It WILL drop.
