T.C. still had production issues when they were made in the USA. But to the OP, the LMS and NS are worlds apart. The LMS truly belongs in a HT set up where bass is meant to be more felt. If your looking for loud go with the NS. Andrew

Well, the shorting ring(s) will reduce back-EMF, and lower inductance, neither will make the motor stronger, lower inductance can lower impedance and distortion, if you get the shorting ring right.
