Your "Bass Boost" is a fixed frequency eq that emphasizes that frequency with a boost that is harmful to your woofer as you can send the amp into clipping. I would recommend not using it unless you like replacing woofers with burnt voice coils.

How are you going to be able to tell the frequency your setting your amp at or setting the SSF? Do a search and read through the amplifier gain setting topic! Break in imo is just a myth!

I would say yes, but not sure though since I have never built a blow through! There is a build with a blow through in the build logs sections with 4 18". I believe that is a 4th order bandpass build.
