  1. What you got planned
  2. If you have the power I would go with xcon's. Whats up man long time no talk. I have a taramps 5k 2ohm version. I want to really run a dual 12 set up but that's crazy expensive. So I might have to settle on a single 15. But a friend of mine is convincing me to try out spl dean and recone my hdc4. If the price is right I might go that route to try it out
  3. Idk maybe. Maybe you seen me, I got a white challenger on black rims and also a white body kitted 03 altima
  4. Makaha huh lol I'm in Maili. Ya definitely let's link up. I had my eye on the Xcon or even zcon but if you're saying the icon will persuade me, I gotta see it
  5. I'm glad to see your guys concern and wanting to help! I wanna really bed be in the product. All the great reviews I've read online of the hdc3 and 4. And seeing how the 4 is the top of the line, I was expecting to be blown away!! Lol but idk whats going on. You say out side of the frequency, but my amps ssf is set quite high, at least in the 20's and my lpf, is set to the lowest hz, which is 50 on my amp. And that candy shop song is a typical normal hip hop song, no decaf no bass boosted note so I'm sure Amy run of the mill sub should play that song. You say I could send you guys the soft parts, what is that? The whole center piece, if that's the case I should just order a recone since I'll be having to re install it correct? And doesn't the aluminum voice coil handle more power(or was that heat)?
  6. And ya i feel you on the shipping! Lol
  7. Love my ICON, but shipping to HI was brutal. What up man. Where are you from? I'd love to hear an icon. All those reviews got me very curious
  8. Do you think of recone it it'll fix it?
  9. Well idk where my wires go. Lol it just comes out this spot in the car, and it's like 8gauge or so. Plus id have to drill through the passenger fire wall and what not. It would be easier I believe to run it under the car. Tuck it somewhere out of direct exposure
  10. What kind of car do you have? And I know I know that's like one of the main parts of a big 3 but I was lazy
  11. I did not run a 0 gauge wire from the alt to the main battery. I just upgraded the ground wire, and the accessory power wire. Reason being, my main battery is in the trunk, and the alt is up front. I need to run the wire under the car, so I'll save that job for later
  12. Hm. Still lower than I expected. I guess the difference could be composed of difference in internal resistances. Just for clarification, with the batteries hooked in parallel both will be feeding your amplifier. I guess so. I'm not too certain. It's wired in parallel, and my amp power and negative wires go directly to the secondary battery. No isolators to separate the two batteries. Just a fuse on the positive wire between the two batteries
  13. Thanks so much guys. It actually was the fuse! I guess I overlooked it because I have those with the led lights that suppose to light up when blown. I swapped it and sure enough second battery shot up to 13.08 a little less than the main battery but I'll take it. Especially with my taramps 5k
  14. Alright guys thanks for the suggestions. I will look into the fuse. I am not using am isolated. Just running it in parallel. Wouldn't the battery slowly drain if its not connected to the main battery. I've had it in my car for a month or so
  15. No distribution blog k. Just positive to positive negative to negative. With a fuse between the two. 0 gauge wire. And I connect my sub and 4channel amps direct to the battery
  16. Alright that sounds like a great suggestion. I'll try that tomorrow . All connections should be good. They are litteraly less than 20" away. What also became a concern is what my amps are seeing volt wise. Since its coming off the secondary battery, does that mean this whole time my amps have been seeing 12.8 volts? Lol
  17. That's what a I was thinking! And I have it wired in parallel . So I should switch the thing. If that's the case I can get a good deal on an optima but I know it's frowned upon to mix batteries
  18. Ya that's true speaker boy so I made a few boxes in in the higher 30's it sounded good. Punchy nose itch bass but I kept having that problem so I decided to tune lower and then fell in love lol it was hitting the bass like I a sub is supposed to. Idk maybe it's just preference.
  19. Hey guys quick question. I got a dodge challenger and I upgraded my starter battery to a kinetik hc2400 and then I recently added a hc1800 as a secondary battery. I recently brought a dmm to mess with and check the Ohms of some subs I had lying around. Then decided to check my voltage . So both says it rests at 12.8 then I started my car and the main battery read 13.78 or so and I checked my secondary battery and it read 12.8 like nothing happened. This is the first time I've ever checked my secondary battery, I've had a dual battery set up in my altima. And I had the LCD volt reader and my secondary battery was in my spare tire area under my sub so I never really bothered. Is it suppose to jump up like the main battery? I brought the hc1800 off of Craig's list and the guy said he had it sitting on a tickle charger. I had it for about a month now so idk if this is normal or not. Thanks for any info guys
  20. Port area are all in the 18-19 range. And I got the box specs from black nasty after doing much research. He said tune high but idk I prefer the lower tuning. Like how I've done with past boxes
  21. Us I just noticed it. Because it only does it on quick kick drum bass notes. And I've only had it for less than a month. It hits all the low notes fine. But quick high notes it does it. It plays all the notes from white cloud fine. I got a test tone generator and it plays all the notes from 24hz, to like 150. I had a preowned sundown zv3 in the same box and it didn't do that noise ever. Could it be because its a new sub and needs to break in? Again free air with nothing obstructing the hole in the magnet it sounds normal no noise but as soon as I put it in the box there's a Damn noise. I made two boxes. One at 4.5 tuned to 36 and it does that noise minimal in a few of the songs I know it does it on. But candy shop still sounds like ass. I did another box at 5.08cuft tuned to 33hz and the candy shop song songs like complete ass. And so does a few of the songs
  22. You think it could be glued crooked if it came straight from the company?
  23. Speaker boy... Whats up? You got experience with em
