  1. im thinking that also. the crossover heats up really fast but the other one stays cool. ive had my sundown sax 125.2 and the boston pro60SEs for over a year and never had any problems like this. which sucks cuz the hybrids sound alot better to me
  2. yea thats why i didnt set any gain at max volume. i didnt leave it play long just wanted to see if i could hear stress. and im guessing it does have tweeter protection. but only the one side kicks in the other side doesnt. my crossover gets warm while the other one doesnt. i thought i had a bad connection but i rechecked the wires and everythign is ok.
  3. no i left it all the way down. i was checking for distortion. Looks like you blew the tweeter. Never turn the HU up past 3/4 if i blew it wouldnt the ohms read wrong on a dmm?
  4. no i left it all the way down. i was checking for distortion.
  5. i have a set of the hybrid clarus c61-2s. i let them break in for a few days and decided to tune them today. everything sounded great until my right tweeter cut out. the mid on the right side and the left tweeter and mid are fine though. tried different songs. and it cuts out on songs with alot of highs. i have a kenwood kdc-X994. ive tried setting the gains with volume 25/35 30/35 and 35/35. i emailed kenwood and they said theis headunit doesnt clip at any volume. i adjusted the gains everythime i changed the volume and it still cuts out. if i turn the gains down the tweeter is ok but im eally losing output. checked both tweeters with a dmm and they read the same. cant figure it out.
  6. im just wondering what is ir score? im intrested in the xcons and was wonderin how they meter.
  7. im going to i just wanted to see if anyone had any expreince with this car. i wanted to do somethign different instead os two 12's. my dimensions are W=36 H=19 D=31. and i sitll have room for the batteries in the back. amps are going on the box. thanks for your help
  8. i measured i have a little over 10 cf. it would take up the whole trunk for an 18. i asked rusty and a level 5 he said would be good at 6. im also looking at a nightshade since it requires a small box. i can do it just ownt have any space left. ported also. i cant test since if i face the 18in vback it would seal all the pressure in the trunk.
  9. I know some cars are louder facing back and some facing foward sealed from the trunk. i was wondering if anyone knew what was best for an 04 hyundai sonata? i was looking at a 15in or an 18in with between 3000-3500 watts depending on which amp i deicide on. looking for loud daily.reason for one sub is cost. thanks alot.
  10. JL AUDIO W7 (Have 3 left) they are used...
  11. theres prob no difference in performance is the ECC and non ECC ram is the same speed. servers mostly use ECC due to the error correcting codes it has.
  12. c_b_: excellent buyer payed fast fast responses.didnt leave me wait for days for a response about buying my amps. would deal with again
  13. trae-real talk bone thugs-n-harmoney-bumps in the trunk mobb deep-amerikaz nightmare
  14. id do a 3500 and save the sub. 4500 is alot of power for one sub. i have a SAZ-3500D and i have a 250 amp ALT a D1200 and a D3100 and my volts droped to 13.7 at full tilt
  15. i have two dc lvl 4XLs and a sundown 3500D. they gets loud and i had someone tell me when i was tuning how loud and clear it sounded.
  16. X2 i need this amp to complete my build haha
  17. im going to be running the same amps as you. i have a 250 amp mechman alt, one D1200 as the starter since it was the biggest i can fit under my hood, and i have a D3100 as the second battery. if you can fit the D3100 as the main use it, but if you cant get the biggest powermaster XS you can fit under the hood and use the D3100 as the second
  18. i ran a kicker zx400.1 to an L7 12in (rated for 750) for almost a yr and i never blew anything? ialso clipped the chit out of it b/c i didnt know what i was doing. still didnt blow anything?

  20. sorry i messed up my topic haha
  21. im looking at getting either two Sundown Nightshade, two IA DP or two DC Level 4XL all 12in. im unsure of which two to choose. ive read good things about all, but i cant test or hear any of them since no one around here has them. i was wondering which would you choose? i wont compete i just want a loud daily driver. i preorded a Sundown SAZ-3500D to power them. any input would be great thanks guys.
  22. any more info on the release date?
  23. Nice choice! I'm just torn between it. haha i was too,but i figure less wiring i have to run, less settings i have to mess with, and is a little cheaper.
  24. i was in the same boat as you. i went with one SAZ-3500D. haha
  25. POLL RUNS UNTIL TUESDAY 3-17-09 -- if enough people are saying they will do it pre-ordering will start then. This puts amp delivery in late June to mid July.
