@ the audiobahn stuff. You said that you liked it, and this is your system. Go for it. And if the price is right, then, once again, go for it. Good luck with the install.

Just Curious
You should buy 2 or 3 of my icon 12s and preorder 2 or 3 of the new sae-1200s. You can run each amp individually to each sub. That would do work! You would have more cone area and would be around the same price for 3 of them. Plus if you wanted 3 of the sundown amps it would only be 750 and you could probably get a discount on that! My icons were used for a week and I took them out because I wanted to build a ported box but now I am taking the time to build a wall of xcons so no need for these subs. Haha we will see how it goes. Thanks for the advice man.

Yeah I don't think i am going to buy these subs. I am not a fan of many kicker products. Just wiring and i hear they make decent amps, but overpriced for my liking. I think ill go with some mach 5 15.2's or some icon 15's. Something like that.

Thanks guys, and yes i am aware they are just two different models. It was just, from where i was looking, the older model was quite a bit more expensive than the newer one.

Ridn's Expo Build Log
That install looks good man. You can tell you really put some thought in that whole amp/battery install part. I have that same La amp, except as a 1000.1d Sounds good, keep it up.

Something wrong
it sounds like you have a short or a loose connection somewhere ...try swapping the h/u first with a differnent 1 ... if it does the same thing try running a wire from your battery to your amp's turn on to see if it cuts out (make sure to disconnect the existing turn on wire from ur radio and ur amp) ... if it dosent then the turn on wire is shorting out somewhere ... if problem persists it might be your rcas if you are running an amp for your speakers ... try using a differennt set of rcas I am running an amp to only the sub stage. I will follow the amp turn on lead to see if it is shorting. If it is, i have an idea where. The rcas could be bad, but i doubt it. Ill try the amp turn on battery idea. And all the other h/us i have i dont have the wiring harness for.

Something wrong
So the other day i was driving down the street and the stereo was playing just fine. I was on my way to get another door handle to replace the one that broke. Everything was installed and i plugged my driver side door panel in and the speaker connected to it when the subwoofer stage started turning on and off. SO i immediately turned everything off, I went back with a test light and everything was working fine so i plugged everything back together and it worked fine. So today on my way to work the sub stage cuts off completely. So I immediately turn everything off again. Go to work, and come back home. I did the test light thing again and every time i check the amp turn on lead ALL the speakers shut off and i get no signal from the wire. The head unit acts like it is playing a song, all the lights are on, the time is still going but NO sound. If i turn the head unit off and back on the speakers play, but right as soon as i check the amp turn on lead again everything turns off. From what i can see all the fuses are ok. The amp power and ground are also ok. I don't know what to do

Yet another box for the type r's
I have two alpine type r 12's and i want to build a crx-style box for them. This is the design i came up with using the max dimensions i can inside my vehicle. I really can't seem to get the tuning quite right, and it says its about 30hz, but what is the ideal frequency to tune to for daily driving? Also any helpful hints to getting this box to stay together? I blew the port off the screws in my bandpass like two weeks ago. EDIT: And yes the subs are going to go on the top.

Amplifier for two icons
Just getting ideas for the next system. I want two 15's max depth of box is 26" and max width is 34-36". Height can vary. I am thinking of icons (I want my next subs to be from ssa) And am just trying to find good amplifier options. I would like something less expensive than the 2000D, but if it comes to it, that is just what i will get. Any good amplifiers that will put 2000wrms out at one or two ohms?
