  1. Simple way to put it is a sealed box inside a ported box. And it loads off itself generally instead of the vehicle. And they usually play a wider frequency range then normal ported wall. I'd be more then happy to help you design one.
  2. May I make a suggestion on the enclosure? Do a 4th order bandpass wall. It will be many times louder and sound much better then a traditional 4th order ported wall. The bandpass doesn't needs near as much vehicle to load off of compared to a standard ported wall which needs a lot to load off, and being behind the C-Pillar it can't load off the windshield very well. So a bandpass is the best idea. Just my $0.02
  3. Me too. Well shit, I wont be the last one here. Sorry for trying to help.
  4. You need to know the facts first -1 is what you would get for running your mouth. Umm, what? He stated EXACTLY what you need to do, if you choose not to listen it's your own damn fault. Read the paragraph in bold please. I know what I want and am getting one. I f you guys dont like it to bad. If you were buying it no matter what we said. Why ask?
  5. Low mileage for an 01'
  6. I'd highly recommend you build a proper ported enclosure and get a nice 1500-2000w amp for it.
  7. Two WHOLE different woofers. The 9512" is a very high power high performance 12". The DCON 15" is a 300w SQ based driver. The 9512 will have much more output no if, ands, or buts about it. Welcome man!!!
  8. Read last post Finding a headunit that can do it is the cheapest way you'll get it done.
  9. The most popular radios for running Active are the PRS units from Pioneer Premier. 800PRS 880PRS P99RS and the new 80PRS. All can run active and have a minimum 16Band L/R separate adjustable EQ.
  10. If you have to ask, running active probably isn't for you.
  11. Compare the SA line which only has a 2.5" coil, to the FCON which will have a 3" coil. Both rated at 600w. Which would you prefer?
  12. What, you wanted to put 8awg into a 600w sub?
  13. I'd pick the AQ over the DC, AQ seems better built then DC. And yes, I've opened them both up and compared lol.
  14. Just purchased ANOTHER amp from him. And probably a DCON 15" this week. Great guy!!
  15. I recommend the AQ2200. Does very well at .5 and does over rated powe. $429 brand new. http://www.audioque.com/AQ2200D-Amplifier_p_31.html
  16. Diet coke like a boss.
  17. PAH. Son please.
  18. I'm a SSA dealer in Baton Rouge, LA.
  19. Show me one that can.
  20. Have you had to disconnect you battery recently? Maybe you lose the setting on your head unit.
  21. 14k, this is the guy with the 4 DD 91515"s.
  22. All of this, is a true story!
  23. I can add to this list! Wanted a AQ 1,200 for a friend. Discovered he had a highs amp I wanted. We worked a deal, and he even threw in two sets of RCA's!!! Will definitely buy from him again!
  24. The vehicle will flex around the woofers. Which will mess your lows up.
