What are some really good deep hitting 12s?
who cares? Its for a sub if the distortion or power rating were off by even 20% you wouldn't audibly notice anyways. As for your CEA comment later that is useless as well. Stupid standard written to shut up uninformed buyers. Just by something reputable and be happy. I understand what your sayin, but I bought a boss r2400d riot series an I don't think it did anywhere close to rated power. Search the web, the answers to most of the questions your asking are available. A Rockford Fosgate will be more expensive than a Crescendo amp but Id rather have a Rockford Fosgate amp any day over the Crescendo.

SSA's Evil SS Camaro. 4 Evil 15s and 2 DC 7.5ks
There is only so many ways to make a 4inch coil subwoofer using the same basket let alone same buildhouse.
-
Fi X series or the SSA GCON or IA lethal injection
When I was making this decision I choose the IA Lethal Injections, didnt really have a reason why just wanted to try something new considering I ran SSA in the past. I dont think you can go wrong either way, all companies make good subs.

Suprised the V2 hasn't been posted
Even if that was the case, AA/Fi would never get put off this forum.

Best 12in sub for 1.4cu sealed box in a trunk
Best sub for what? This question can't be answered accurately unless someone had both subs in the same box, let alone same car. To many factors to entertain, just flip a coin.
- 99' Chevy S10 Sundown Build :) IASCA CompS

sundown lincoln
I guess his box liked 12s better because he gained by switching to smaller cone area. It would be a sight to see if the zcons can't do what the nightshades did? I'm tuned in

*Swift's Rebuild* 3 SP4 18's, 12k Walled F250
Nice score man, glad you like those horns. How many watts are you sending those horns?

Team SSA MB W140
Did you get the mini bodies or the full body horns?

Which subs would you choose
Picking a sub because of youtube videos is ridiculous but to each its own. Enjoy the Xcon

Which subs would you choose
Have you dealt with IA customer service? Their top notch as well. OP you cant go wrong with any of the listed subs, its hard to pick a subwoofer for someone else since everybody has different needs and preferences.

Uh oh....Xcon cracked magnet
great news!!! photos pls! I bet it looks like your sub but smaller

New rear speakers
I doubt you will hear tweeters over the subs if placed in the rear, that is if you cant hear your front door speakers already. Just replace the speakers in the front doors with better speakers and amp them if you dont have an amp on them yet.

2- IB315 in the trunk
Those PG Elite amps are nice, dont know if I want them or the new Sundown amps. You got the best of both worlds right now

6 Rockford T2 15"s and 7500 Watts, and a destroyed windshield.

55 Chevy Rat Rod Bagged Pickup
If he wants clean and loud components how can you recommend some speakers that arent out and nobody heard yet. OP, badass truck and cant wait to see what you do with it. It looks like a fun little project to have around

SA12 Setup
Each amp listed will be fine, subs rms is not a main factor when deciding on a sub amp. Extra wattage wont be heard. Nice to have extra in case you want to upgrade. Even if you upgrade 100-500 watts wont be audible. If your not doubling power or competing its not worth it.

SSA's Evil SS Camaro. 4 Evil 15s and 2 DC 7.5ks
Are you going to post some pictures? Apparently we can't see ass shots, but I'll be happy with anything that we can see. What's so happy about looking at a sub with no ass shots? The sub will probably resemble other SSA subs if pictures are just taking of the cone and dustcap.

Loud front stage opinions (SQ guys beware, lol)
If you run horns it wouldnt be wise to run the mid and horn together, the horns will outperform any mid seeing the same power. If your talking about a regular tweeter and midbass driver then it depends where you put your inline crossover. I hope you wouldnt put it after your wired the speakers together becuase then your mid and tweet will playing the same frequency. I currently have my crescendo tweet and rockford mid set up this way but my in-line crossover is right after the tweeter before I connected my two speakers together. Hope that makes sense, it does affect sound quality some because you cant seperate the power so either the mid or tweet can distort before the other. You cant play your mids the way they are designed to play so they will natural roll-off which can cause beaming and so on.

With an in-line crossover yes the frequency changes with ohm load, so yes it will affect the sound quality if the crossover drops lower than what the speaker can play. If you have to correct crossover for a 4 ohm load then it shouldnt affect the sound quality as long as the speakers are wired to 4 ohms.

I dont see how you can run an 8 ohm driver as 4 ohms, maybe im missing something.
