It really doesnt matter what people think of the subs since everyone's ears are different and as you can tell you will get different responses/opinions. The best opinion is yours, dont you have a pair of the subs already? Also what AudioQue subs are you referring to?

DC Audio just dropped there amps, there at great prices as well. Just find whats in your budget and what will ship out to you since that seems like the major issue you have.

You have to keep me posted on how the front stage sounds. I will be doing ultra mini's and either the x-69 (one pair) or go buy some PA 8" mids.

You dont have the same understanding of the speakers and the crossovers they do so it will be hard to use there crossover points that they use on there passive crossovers as a starting point. Trying to get your speakers to sound good running active as they did passive will be hard especially at your first couple of times trying, you wont get active down pat with just picking crossover points. You have to do some listening and tuning, it will take some time to get it to the levels your used to with the passive crossover set. Just my .02

Jacob was wondering if you had the mounting depth for the 8"? Im shopping around for drivers and trying to see what I can fit and not fit since these are on my list of drivers Im looking at. Thanks

Try turning your crossover down on the LPF, set way to high for you mids. I honestly would never play my mids above 3,000hz, thats when the tweeters should start to take over.

Yeah man, I only have two things holding me back. Need to buy some 1/0 stinger hpm power wire and find a shop to customize my dash and Im beating again , then I can focus on putting a real system in the car.

If I remember XS batts float around 13.1-13.2 volts, I know they float higher then most battery brands (which aaverage around 12.7-12.9volts).

I agree with you Wood but it is something you dont have any control over. I dont feel as though his site advertisement should be here period as well, the 1800woofers.com ads. I could care less about Skar, doubt they will be as successful or around that long. But that 1800woofers.com is a big ass fail , dont promote something then run away from it by not responding to any body who posted a question or concern for you in the section. Site needs major upgrades and improvements, that need to be worked out ASAP. I dont have any control over what happens here except where me and my friends buy from, wont do any business with the fella anymore. Thanks man, I love it as well (small in size but got guts). Cant wait to see what it can do, all I gotta do is fine some speakers to use on it. Yeah I wasnt to worried about the rear aux input since my last unit had it and I didnt care to much for it. Yeah I love how it looks and always been a fan of Pioneer head units.

The way you typed it earlier made it seem like your car's voltage while off was higher then the voltage while on. For example, your voltage while car off is 12.8volts and while on 12.3volts (just an example). I read it the same way when I was reading the post.
