Question of the day!!!
Usually on same brand subs (such as a Nightshade vs. Z series), the one that can handle more power than the other will be louder when comparing them on the same power level.

help
Maybe you shouldn't think and type. The RL-p is a great woofer and will work in many different applications. It really depends on your goals. Burping one is possible, but that will require a serious understanding of the box and frequency to really determine the power handling in that scenario. Haha, this is hilarious.

Back to Fi products and VERY pleased
This is a FI thread about an FI topic, why would someone come in to speak on AQ (there are topics about them in other areas on this forum, just FYI)?

4 Fi X12's, short build log
The big 3 is good to do to a car regardless of what upgrades you made to the car. If I ever get a car and dont put a system in I will do the Big 3, just for the hell of it.

1/0 to 4/0 adapter?
If Im reading this right then it makes no sense at all to me. Do you mean 4 gauge or 4/0awg big difference? Your amps terminals have nothing to do with the Big Three wiring. You dont need 1/0awg on that amp, 4 gauge will do fine. I would suggest you get 1 reducer and run 1/0 awg from battery to distrribution block then 4 gauge from the d. block to amps terminals if you insist on using 1/0 awg. There wont be that big of a difference though, if you plan on upgrading your system in the future then I can see the point upgrading your amp's wires.

MMats amps Vs Us Amps
The question is what is your budget, what electrical upgrades have you made and how much do you have budgeted to do some upgrades?

PIoneer Ts-w3002 subs
I wouldnt use the subs at all IMO, I already used them and they arent worth it. If you want to stay mainstream then get some Kicker CVX's at least or something else. But if you already do have them, they like smaller than normal boxes as you can tell in the manual when they show the box they recommend for it.

Welcome to the IHoP
That or call it a nite and get some good sleep and wake up early for a better start (that is usually how I did my studying). It seems like at the end of the day, after all I been through studying wouldnt be a good idea for me or my mind. I just wake up early and get my studying in then.

new altenator mybe???
Slow down with the question marks buddy. Since you said sedan I was thinking of car with a sealed off trunk from cabin, you have a hatchback which will fit an 18". Your wording is where I got that an 18" wont fit.

new altenator mybe???
Just search around for battery sites on google and find one; some good brands are XS Power, Deka, Shuriken, Kinetik, Stinger, Optima, etc.

new altenator mybe???
You do not have the room to run an 18" subwoofer in your trunk at all? Just get a 15" and call it a day, performance goes farther than looks. A 15" in the right enclosure will do better than a 18" in a cramp box, FYI.

Want to move up...
That may be hard to accomplish with that budget my friend. The good question is what electrical upgrades do you have in the car (big 3 wiring, extra batteries, ho alternator)? Another question is what system do you have now so we can determine a nice upgrade for you? Idk exact details, but i have two 12''s runnin at 800rms in a ported box and a nice jvc head unit. stock speakers and tweeters. it kicks hard and sounds pretty good, but id like something...more. Do you plan on upgrading your stock speakers or anything? Check these links out: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/products/SSA-Icon-12D2-%252b-Sundown-SAZ%252d1000D-Combo.html http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/products/SSA-Icon-15D2-%252b-Sundown-SAZ%252d1000D-Combo.html http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/store/products/SSA-Dcon-12D4-%282%29-%252b-Sundown-Audio-SAX%252d125.2-Combo.html These packages will leave you with some money left over for a proper enclosure, some wiring and a secondary battery.

get you a 4 gauge wiring kit and you should be fine since you dont plan on upgrading anything. I would also suggest you get some 1/0 wiring so you can do the BIG 3 Wiring, that will definantly help your voltage out alot. BIG 3 Wiring: 1. Alternator Bolt or Engine Block to Car's Frame 2. Battery Negative to Car's Frame 3. Battery Positive to Alternator Positive For the wiring, check out KnuKonceptz.com for excellent wire for good prices (you can git 4 gauge kit and 1/0 awg for Big 3 here).

Want to move up...
Before anybody gives you any advice, go measure your trunk and tell us what are your max dimensions for an enclosure (height x width x depth). Second yeah an 18" does look cool if it sounds good too, if your doing it just for looks and not performance then I wouldnt do it but it is up to you and your money. The best bet is to see what we can fit in your trunk and go from there, a 15" in the optimal box will sound better than an 18" in a cramped box. Yes you are going to need to upgrade your electrical or you wont have the power to get your amp going.
