  1. That linked worked for me, right click it and open it in new window or tab. Its actually a pdf file that turns into a manual for the subwoofers, so if you dont have pdf file opener on your computer then you probably wont see it.
  2. Your friend needs to learn more about car audio, since he doesnt know you cant tune a seal box then he doesnt know how much space he has per sub neither. Just my .02
  3. I never fiberglassed before and I think that would be my first project ( I will start this mid to late spring, next year). I may be pm'ing you in the future about this process. Thankx.
  4. There is no best 6x9 if so then there would only be one with no competition. You should go around to different car audio shops and listen to speakers and see what you (people can offer brands but its to their personal preference, which may be different from yours).
  5. Check out the Sundown Audio SAZ-4500D, its on presale right now.
  6. So are you planning on switching out the FI Q for the Eclipse.
  7. Post a picture so someone can give you some advice on if its bad or not so bad scuff and how to properly fix it.
  8. Hi

Glad you could join us, cant wait for build log to begin and good luck with install.
  9. I was thinking about this a minute ago, I was like I wonder what SSA will use for a subwoofer + Sundown SAZ-2000d combo sale.
  10. You gave me an idea because my area between my seats looks exactly like yours and I use a cd book as an arm rest and have to move it everytime I get out the car so it just wont be sitting there. What are you gonna cover it with, I will definantly be stealing this idea from you just to let you know, .
  11. Yeah your correct they do.
  12. Ive heard up give up to 4-5" from back wall and sub or port and back wall but then I heard just as long as the subs have room (for example a 1/4" from back wall) they will be ok. So Im curious to see whats myth and whats truth.
  13. Smart thinking to eliminate that problem in the future, have you decided if your going to redo your wall or is it gonna stay the same for awhile. Later on I want to go over some box designs, so pm whenever you get a chance. Thankx
  14. I think a pair of 12"s or a 15" subwoofer will fit better than anything else.
  15. What size are your door speakers? I would just suggest wrapping the piece of wood first then mount it to the box (a simple little task.
  16. Came out excellent, personally thats the best sealed off trunk I have seen (the wiring is not in the way unless your standing up over it and its still neat and wrapped nicely). I wasnt a fan of forward firing subs but I like this build, making me think of going a new route with my next install.
  17. I have 3-12" CVX's on 400 watts, just dont want to put the SAZ-2000D until I get redo my stock and secondary battery but by then I may have upgraded subs by then to 2-12's or 1-15". But once I get everything together then I will post videos, pictures and anything else.
  18. Thats one thing I love about systems, everytime something goes wrong we think its something major and usually you can fix it in 5 minutes or cost you less than $5 to fix it but it takes you hours to find what needs to be fixed. Good job and great troubleshooting.
  19. Haha, yeah that would be a site to see, a see through wall (kinda like an invisible wall, I wonder who on this forum will be brave enough to attempt this even though it will be a hefty penny to cough over).
  20. I would definantly suggest doing the Big 3 in 1/0 AWG wire or bigger, to get a better voltage than do more ground runs from battery than positive runs. For example you will have 2- 1/0 AWG power runs (one for system and one for cars electrical), so at least do 3- 1/0 AWG or 2- 2/0 AWG wire for negative terminal of battery to cars frame. You dont have to do this but from personal experience and others experience it helps stabilize the volage even at idle with system on or off.
  21. I have seen this before in a few installs and looked real nice, now you got me thinking about it for my next box. Im gonna stay posted on this one, share what info with us when that company emails you back if you dont mind. Thankx and good luck
  22. Im trying to talk my friend into buying these since he wants to run 8 or 10 - 8" subwoofers in his car, its hard trying to break people away from mainstream products.
  23. Wish I could of been there, why doesnt anybody do stuff like this in Dallas. I would of pissed on my frozen shirt to get iit and put it on to win some free subs (people werent thinking), or used the lighter I always carry in my pocket.
  24. I see you were working on a Saturn Ion, I was thinking about putting my tweeters where yours are located but I just decided to use that black triangular ppiece in the door (makes it look factory and came out nice). I was also gonna do 4-6.5"s in the rear deck but this site talked me out of it(still have the four holes in the rear deck now I just need to get a new rear deck cover), glad to see we have some of the same thinking patterns.
  25. Yeah it should with a bigger starting battery or an addition of a secondary battery, you should be fine just make sure to buy a voltmeter to tell when things are going bad.
