  1. Its economics really, if they would replace all cosmetically damaged subs they ship out then the overall price per woofer would increase. Unless their is a major flaw with the driver, a small chip on the magnet is not considered a major flaw regardless of price.
  2. I doubt there is much they can say or do, shit happpens. What?! Believe me man im not trying to be a dick, just looking at it from my perspective thats all. In my eyes its not like the sub is damaged or not working. Thats why i say there isnt much i can see Fi doing, i doubt they would build you a new sub or offer a discount. Just my .02, but we will see.

  4. I know it sucks but ive seen worse. Is there a way to angle it or position that part to where it is hardly seen?
  5. Hifonics just isnt known for it's quality, will it power a subwoofer? Yes it will. Either one of these amps will do the trick: http://store.soundsolutionsaudio.com/products/us-acoustics-mike-amplifier.html http://store.soundsolutionsaudio.com/products/crescendo-audio-symphony-s1500-1-1500-watts-x-1-mono-block-symphony-series-amplifier.html
  6. Hell of an idea for your factory wiring going to the battery, cool to use those distribution blocks like that.
  7. Post a build log and show us the progress.
  8. Glad to see an update man . What do you think is causing the mids/highs amp to overheat?
  9. Naw you are good, light dimming is normal. : Obviously you added equipment to the car that didnt come from the factory so any electrical upgrades would be beneficial.
  10. Makes sense, im tuned in regardless.
  11. Nope, not worth it even if you planned on using it the rest of your life.
  12. Yes but that depends on what music you play, thats th reason for an SSF. Why not use the HPF on that amp as an SSF?
  13. Stick with the rms ratings the manufacturer states. Even if it took 2000 watts you wouldn't hear or notice the difference, if competing then it might be a small gain if any. Even though some people do run over rated power to their woofers it has its adverse effects and that in turn can damage soft parts quicker. For a daily setup its not worth going past rated rms.
  14. I like where this is going
  15. Found an archive of their specs, this should help: http://web.archive.org/web/20101229094459/http://www.dcsoundlab.com/specs.html
  16. He did in the first test
  17. No flex zone, that sub is putting in some work.
  18. Nor did he state anything about difference in sound, he was referring to the power levels. You wont gain any output from switching amps. If you want to do it just to spend money or for cosmetics then go ahead.
  19. Pre-order dates are not always accurate, just a chance you gotta take. Not till February
