  1. If you accomplished what you wanted with the truck then I say why not.
  2. 3 sets of components are not needed, focus on the front doors. Do it right the first time, horns under the dash and an 8" in the doors. What are your goals for your front stage? Just loud to keep up with subs, loud and sounds good etc.
  3. I would call around first to get accurate results. Every shop has different labor costs etc. Depends on how easy it is to get to alt and so on. Its hard to guess and what I get mine done for you probably wont or vice versa.
  4. Nobody can tell you what someone in your area will charge to install an alternator. Call around to different shops and get quotes.
  5. Madisoundspeakerstore.com
  6. Naw, a video wont prove anything (plus there are a couple of videos on youtube with them). I cant recommend them if I dont know your install, mounting locations, etc. Make a thread if you need help choosing new mids. They are better than the Silver Flute W17rc38-04 I had at first and before that I was a pro audio nut so not that many drivers I can compare them too.
  7. And here they are, SB Acoustics SB17NRXC35-4 midbass drivers. These drivers have some of the best build quality I have ever seen, very impressed so far.
  8. Nothing is gonna keep up with horns, but it doesnt mean you have to run them full steam either. Eric has mentioned the 18 Sound 6ND430 and SilverFlute w17rc38 as mids that can be used with horns along with the ID X65. So 6.5"/7" can work and do the trick. Its all about personal preference, listening habits and goals. Not everybody is trying to get their front stage to be as loud as their subs.
  9. Naw I decided against piecing a pair of compression drivers and horn bodies together and just get a full set from Eric Stevens. Once I get a pair of horns from Eric, these SB Acoustics will go in the house.
  10. Sold my compression drivers and picked up these SB Acoustics SB29RDNC-C000-4 tweeters, I love them so far.
  11. Its not like he just sits by his computer waiting on emails, give the man some times as he does work too. Be patient man
  12. Thanks for the review on those cables, yeah I heard the connectors are virgin tight. Didnt know they had that much size to them, make the RFs look like tiny.
  13. That tweeter is huge, I dont see how it won't work out. You know my vote would be for the SB Acoustics SB29RDNC-C000-4.
  14. Start hiding your license plates when posting pics. Most people just scribble the letters and numbers out.
  15. Yes two 12s is more cone area than one 15" but its not a huge leap like people make it out to be. Usually they say it takes double the power and double the cone area to really hear a difference. Give us more info about your install, to help us help you. Once again your box could be an issue, the setting on your amp or headunit could be off, your electrical might not be up to par. If you are having issues with your current install then swapping it out for different equipment is not the best option.
  16. Good shit Steve, keep on keeping on.
  17. Actually he said the sub is irrelevant, meaning it is not a concern right now. There are other things to do to his current install before looking at new sub(s): new box, electrical up to par, etc.
  18. Pop off the top and open here up, shoot some pictures. Its hard to troubleshoot just by guessing.
  19. Is this score with both 18s and both 2000s, how low is your box tuned?
  20. Yeah the woofer does look better with the green logo, great job man
  21. Horns look great, what made you go with the 6.5 SF and not a pro audio driver? You just doing one pair of mids. horns look great
  22. No need for the extra pair of tweeters, you already said one was loud enough. Just sell them. Trust me I used to have 21 interior speakers in my car, so I know a little something about overkill. The more speakers is not always gonna net better results, just stick to doing fiberglassed doors. Just my .02 and cant wait to see the box completed.
