You could buy a design, or even have one for free, on the ssa site (technical section). Then you could make a local shop or a friend build it for you to your specs. Why can't you have one from Audibel ? You could come and pick it up without any shipping costs!!

You don't have to focus on pre-out voltage for the h u. YOu just need to set the gain correctly : it's made for that!

Nice looking head unit ! But way too expensive for me. The 800 and 880 prs are fantastic, I don't need more : with such a price tag, this hu is more suited for rich SQ competitors !! s

What make them go bad ? If your amp/speakers is working fine, you don't have to worry about new products. New products comes out everyday. It's business, not a child game !!! As you said Jay-Cee : you can't please everyone ! I am very happy with Sundown : the amps are nice to see, not flashy, and I know I'm in good hands when I order something!! BTW I wanted to say that one of my friend (an installer with 2 saz1000 strapped on an xcon 15") told me that the Sundowns crossovers are very very efficient : first time he sees that. He has tried lots of brands, but now he doesn't want anything else than Sundown !!!

Why don't you set the gain around 2000 watts with the volume on your hu high enough ? You would be able to turn the volume knob as you want without blowing the subs. Or, like ssa told you : sell them and buy bigger subs !

If you already have the si, try them in a good custom ported box. If you don't like them, you can sell them, keep the box, and find 10" subs that can fit in your box. Why not a second Icon 10" ? On 1200 watts, you will like them, for sure ! Be careful with the box design, and build it right. Good luck

May I ask what other subs you have dealt with?? Was referred to this forum cause I'm looking to upgrading my fi Q's and one guy recommended the XCON and this thread. Except the Icon and the Xcon 15"s ? Kicker L7, 06 and 08 models; in several sealed boxes; from 2 to 6 ft3, on 1000-1200 watts : loud, loud, low, but... they were not "accurate" enough for me. But not a bad sub like a lot of people say !Impact Car Audio 67 series(15") : an Italian monster on the lows in a "small" ported boxAlpine swd 3000 and other lower lines. I've heard the Type X in sealed boxes, but did not like it.several Pioneer entry level subslots of Audiopipe and old Audiobahn in my country...

Did you saw the price of these JL amps ? The JL 1000/1 costs as much as the saz 3500 !!! You Focal comp set can receive more than what will give the 300/2, but 150 watts is enough, sure. Why don't you look for a more powerful amp ? To answer your question : maybe the Phenix Gold Xenon series amp, if you can find them.

Hard to say ! There are dozens of subs on the market. You want to use 3000 watts for subs, but not for competitions. You can try 2 12" woofers : I am sure they will fit in the space available with a nice ported box. It's not the only solution ! What do you plan for electrical upgrades? HO alt, several batteries, big3,... You need to do something! Take a look at the ssa shop, read a little more here to find some other brands if it's not enough!!!

any of the above will work great. I would go with 2 DCONs if you can afford it. Cone advantage is priceless i've never heard a comparison of, for example, 1 12" on 500 watts compared to 2 of the same 12" on the same 500 watts. does it really make that big of a difference? i thought it wasn't much Close to 3db more, with better SQ to boot. So much difference ?!! Wow

You have about the same sizes for the 2 boxes. The sealed one is huge or the ported one was too small. I can't say that with only 2 pics. Why did you change ? You use the same space for the box. You only wanted to hear them sealed ? or what ? BTW : The ported box is sexier !!! And your 3 way setup is MARVELLOUS !

Las Vegas, Nevada. And they come in a good packaging. Mine has travelled through the USA, Germany, France, and then went back across the atlantic ocean to come to my house in the Caribbeans (Martinique). All that in 5 days. I was so happy, I did not even take time to look at it. I put it in the box as soon as I opened the package !!!

You're in really good hands !!! 28Hz seems loooow. At 32 you will still have so much lows!!!! and you won't miss anything. Listen to M5, even if it's not easy for you!!!!!! BTW : if you build it yourself, try a sealed box in your trunk first. If you don't like it(impossible ) you will build your ported wall. 2 huge Q's in a big ported wall would be a giant step from your actual setup. Good luck for your build. Post pics when you can

Go with the bl. 2 12's will be insane !!! The Q is an amazing driver, for sure, but it will not get as loud as a bl. Coming from 2 Pioneer subs, you will love any FI sub!!! But the bl or the ssd are your best option, at FI. There are lot of other good subs in the ssa shop : take a look and come back if you have more question. Look at Incriminator, Sundown, SSA,... and many more.
