There are some very good experts, here, for box design, but I think 3 4" aeroport for a single 15" Gcon can be too much. Maybe it is good for 2 12" Dcons. Good luck

I had an issue with my NS-1 amplifier. It is a v1, the second edition of the v1. Sundown wants to send me a v2 in a warranty exchange. I need to know what did they change between v1 (revised) and v2 version. Because they're is a huge price difference to pay. :-( I want to know if it is worth the money to have a v2, or if I'd better have it repaired. Thanks for your help.

AFAIK you need them when your trunk is separate from the cabin of the car. You only have an access by the ski hole or by the holes made for some rear speakers. If you can flip down the back seats, it is not needed : a 4th order ported box would be good. I am in no way an expert !!! So I'm waiting on some more info too !

Same things here, and in France : they have a lot of money for the bass, but go cheap on front speakers. It's horrible. I don't get it. I love bass, but I can't stand shitty sound from speakers. OP : try to save some more money to have something nice. Go cheap on the amp, if you have to, but listen to what the others told you : super tweeters will not sound good. you don't need them in your car. Good sounding tweeters ans mids will make you proud of your system.

You have a nice collection of woofers, and still want to use another one ! What don't you like about them ? I like your VW gti in all-black. Looks nicer.

You should find some goosd products in Europe, maybe not in bulgaria. Try to find some UK or French websites. Focal makes products for that, some others too. Good luck

You'd better go listen to what you can find locally. You can come back to the forum and tell us what you liked and why. Or buy the ones that you like. Lot of people only talk about the bass, but the front speakers are the heart of the sound : you can enjoy the music without sub, but you can't enjoy anything with only a sub playing ! Don't think Kicker is bad : you would be surprised. Are you sure the amp you find still works ? Which amp is it ?

OP you had very bad luck with this. SSA customer service is top notch. they answer emails even on sundays ! When I need a caraudio product for anyone, I start to look at the ssa store first enjoy your xcon : this sub is marvelous !

Keep the btl : this sub is a beast ! Get a second one if you can/find one. ZED amp and Crescendo speakers ? Why ? expensive amp and cheap speakers : surprising,...for me.

1000 w on a Xcon ? It's not a lot of power for such a sub. Gain was set to high, maybe. How did you set the gain ? BTW 1.4 ft3 at 32 Hz ? I bet that port is loooong ! Or the tune is way higher.

Some want to hit the biggest numbers they can, some want to listen to loud music, some want only lows,... It's hard to have it all. Fi/AA/SSA products are different, but all awesome. I'm sure you would love the Xcon. But you can't go wrong with the Fi Q. I may be totally wrong, but I would say the Xcon can be louder, and still sounds beautiful. Don't forget the Fi BL : a friend of mine runs 2 bl 12" in his little Ford Fiesta : they play everytning, they're loud and go lowwww (he has a good box). I can't talk about the DSS : never ran them yet.

If you have bad noise in your system, fix it ! Don't take out the rca cable from amp or hu when playing and you should not have noise issues if everything is well done The mods, here, know their things, don't need to argue with them !

If you already have $250, keep on saving little by little. When you're ready to buy you'll have enough to get whatever amp you want. db-r has some great deals, more than often. Take your time ...if you can !

They were super fast for my 2 amps. 20.1 & 3.4 : I like them a lot....small and powerful, never get hot at these day

IA seems to be priced like Sundown Audio, at least for their amps. Not the cheapest, but not expensive like others. I don't see their products very often on the internet, but I can see they have a strong reputation, much stronger than a lot of brands. I'm not an expert to tell why. I'd just guess the products have good designs and maybe are well built ( I hope so !);

I'm tuned in. Someday I'll try an active setup for my front stgage. It will be for my next var, hopufully. I'm still learning.

Recone may be cheaper. But you need to know how to do it correctly, or at least someone who knows how to do it for you. A sub that can handle the same power will cost you some good money. I can't judge the hdc4 sub : I've never tried it. But the SSA store has some wonderful subs to play with.
