You have a nice h u and 2 very nice amps. So, get a nice sub : get the Sundown. There are lots of subs in the market, why only those 2 ? If you have room, get the 15" in DVC2 to play at 4 Ohms on your amp. You will be able to upgrade your amp to one stable at 1 Ohm.

What kind of problems? Some are trying to disrespect me, by telling anything bad they can about me, and about the ssa woofers ! Saying they heared too much about them, they only plays low notes,...But I don't mind ! I let them speak with their Audiopipe and Audiotop woofers in tiny ported boxes with hazardous tuning !!! Very few people have great sounding bass in their car, so they are jealous when they heared something amazing !

What do you mean by "your alternators bust" ? It seems fine for me. But I'm not a mechanist ! With the engine on, the improvments are visible on the voltmeter. Like when I upgraded each ground ! I could see each voltage increase ! I ONLY have the same voltage drop with the AC on, like when the car was new with no sound system in it.

You want LOUDER ? You will love the swap. I went from a 15" Xcon to a 12" Btl N2, and I love it ! I just need 1000 more watts!!! The Btl does sound good, but not good as an Xcon, but I do LOVE mine !

The Xcon is amazing ! It sounds soooo good, and gives you very good output. I'm starting to have problems with some jealous bastards around here, just because I am the one who brought them (an the Icon) in our car audio scene !!! I can't even imagine how they will react with the Zcon !!!

I love it. First, I thought it was too powerful on the lowest notes and was missing in the "upper" range (still under 80 hz !!). It was surprising, very surprising because I was expecting the opposite! Now it plays much more flat. I never thought a BTL was able to play music so well ! For my musical taste the BTL is perfect. From a 15" xcon to a 12" btl, I lost nothing in output, maybe I have more ! I feel that this sub needs to shine even more. I'm trying to save to get a Sundown 2500 or something else cheaper. I added a Kinetic HC 1200 in the back for the bass amp. My voltage is much higher with engine off but it's not really higher with the car ON, just stronger. The voltage drops when I start the AC only ! And the sub never has excursion like I can see in some u tub videos ! It's not a goal for me, but it shows what it can do, and mine is far from that.

You have a good budget. Maybe just one set of component speakers can be enough. I don't know.

You can have a box with the sub & port firing into the cabin, through the seats. And take the seats down if you need more bass when you have no passengers in the back. It will give you less rattles in the trunk. not a bad thing !!! Good luck !

Fiberglass ? I'm not an expert at all, but I don't feel it necessary. It is a lot of work, and maybe money. I'm really happy with bracings inside all my boxes. You can feel the improvments each time you add a brace by knocking the panel. Same way to know where to brace more.

Too bad I live so far ! What a nice deal for you, lucky Americans (in the 48 though !) !! I can't even tell you how much we pay for AGM batteries in my country/island. It's soooo expensive, it's a shame!

Sell the old one and get 2 new ones !!! Or try to find a used ssd. I would not mismatch speakers, but I can't tell you why ! It's just me !

I'd get a Sundown over an AQ. Even the Stetsom over the AQ. Many people love their amps, or their price ! Both may be good products, but a friend and I run Sundown amps for some months and we love them ! Great customer service, fast shipping...etc AQ seems serious, they did not want to send me any amps because they don't have repair center in my country. It's honnest, but it scared me a little bit, about the reliability of their amps !!! I cross my fingers, so far, I never had any problems with all I ordered on the internet. Never had to use a warranty ! Good luck

Run one bl on that amp, and build a good box for the 2 (same, I hope so) bl's. You'll upgrade your amp later, or you can simply get a second amp like this AP 1500. It's the cheapest solution !

Take a look at the Stetsom amps on the ssa store : the 2K5 may fit your needs. I'd like to run one on my btl too. But I've never read any reviews on them, by daily users.

Keep them. I'm sure they are nice drivers. You will love them for sure. Sundown is taking good care of you. Really niCe company.
