  1. Low Pass filters allow low frequencies to pass below a selected crossover frequency, filtering out all frequencies above it High Pass filters allow high frequencies above a selected crossover frequency to pass, filtering out all frequencies below it Start at 80hz on each for a good starting point. So, you would be sending 80hz and up to your mids/highs and 80hz and down to your subs. Play around with them from there to see what sounds/blends best.
  2. Nice score bro! How you been? Haven't seen you on here in a long while.
  3. HU do clip that's why you set them below clipping so you dont amplify a square wave and send it to your speakers.
  4. Too late he drank the "cleaner bass" Koolaid. lol
  5. I'm in Nashville TN, and I wouldn't mind making the trip on a weekend either I'm in the same boat as wagon, being a team member would be amazing, being part of just good people who love Car Audio. Anytime fellas. I will be in Tennessee at least once this year for the SC/TN game and maybe again to meet up with a friend for a show.
  6. When I sold my 15's I went to Lowes and bought a sheet of the foam insulation like they put between the house and siding. Forget what it's called, but it pink. I cut out the center out a little bit at a time and set the subs inside that, then inside a cardboard box. Overkill prolly, but the subs arrived safe and sound.
  7. Sweet! I think you had a build on here before No?
  8. Pretty damn cool Bro!
  9. 8ga wire didn't help that's for sure. It wouldnt come out of protect when you unhooked it?
  10. http://www.tejcurrent.com/products.htm Builds his own alts. Dual or triple stock alts would be nice for that power and they can be found on the cheap. You could get a dual bracket add another stock alt and have 290a with good output at idle too. Just saying. email him, super nice guy. [email protected]
  11. hit up tejcurrent you could run dual stock alts on the cheap.
  12. well dont i need 2000 watts to get the optimum performance from the icons? and whats wrong with the audioq 2200? Nothing! If it fits your budget, go for it. It would be a nice set up with the Icons, IMO.
  13. Most haven't.. Maybe you'll like them? Usually takes me a long time to warm up to a new band or artist. Unless it's the GaGa........Homeboy warmed up quick like on that.
  14. You didnt say what battery, so if it's lead acid if your over 12.4ish or AGM 12.8ish you are not completely discharging the bat, but close to it. Your system is pretty mild and if it was mine, I would just lower the volume one notch at idle before I bought another bat or alt. It's your money tho. How important is that 1 notch compared to the money to get it back?
  15. Should be ok, just keep an eye on them and if the dip lower than they rest, give them a little charge. No, you do not need to charge with Kinetik's charger, but it would help to have a trickle charger with an AGM setting.
  16. If its at 13v on full tilt I would not worry about it. Certainly would not throw money st it. That's above your bats resting voltage.
  17. I am in SC and always willing to lend a hand. That said the road trip would be made by you. lol
  18. Nice progress bro! Are you building the box you posted a few pages back? A guide works like a charm for the skillsaw. Love the driveway build, welcome to the no damn shop club. lol
  19. Try to get 6cf tuned to 33 and you will love it!
