Getting pretty far off topic. You can get a Sundown 1200 or even a 150 for under 350 used. Check the FS section and DB-R.

there is no correct place to mount it. It's a person preference. I have mine mounted in my center console, hooked up to one of my amps.

I don't see anything ricey on that car (from what we can see). It's lowered and has rims I like the forward firing xcons idea. I have heard (for my 1.6l honda) that belts start to slip if you get much larger than about 200 amp alt.

There is no set standard, "do this and this and you will get hair tricks". It's going to depend on the car/install on EVERY basis. I can't (nobody can) give you a set number that will give you the minimum needed for hair tricks. If you really want to do them get multiple subs and a bit of power, tune low with lotsa' port area.

you stated that you want to get a Q 12, then ask which one you should get? little confused. Why do you want to upgrade? The gauge of wire is determined by the amp, not the sub.
