my buddy has a 18" btl on a Hifon brz2400, and it sounds ok doen't sound to good at all to be honest sound's dirty. he has good electrical and he bought my box from me that Argent audio built and its a perfect box 7.5 cubes 33 hz. when I had the BTL he is using and the box he is using on my sundown 2000D it is DAY n NIGHT diffrence. i would suggest staying away from hifonics personally. Get a sundown or the AP3000.1 like phatboi suggested

I don't think any of us are trying to "flame" him or whoop on him or claim to be know it all's. everyone has there own way of helping out and advice. Why didn't you ask him about his voltage drop and impedence rise? you are telling us we should of asked him that when you could of asked him instead of trying to pointe your figure at people or start an arguement.

^^^^^^ jay-cee is dead on! for example... My last build i was running an 18" Ascandent Audio Mayhem D1 on 2X Sundown 2000D's strapped at 1 ohm each in a 7.5 cube box tuned to 33 hz. I had no issue running that sub way more then the maxx RMS. I was getting meter and i was using my BURP setting and it was all good no issues, when i was done testing i forgot to turn my gains down back to the daily setting then i started to play some music and in less then 10 seconds it went good bye My spl and daily settings where not even much of a diffrence maybe a small sliver more was my spl settings. It gets risky just be smart!

I am using my friends 15" fully loaded BL right now in a box that is almost 3.5 cubes tuned to 32 hz. I am running and Sundown 2500 to it with great electrical. I do notice on some songs that it is getting close to bottoming out so i turn my gain knob down. I am used to 18" subs with alot of power so its hard for me to control this 15" because i want it to be louder. I can tell you this... the BL does handle its own very well but its only as smart as you. aslong as you control your gain's and you watch the sub and check for stress like others already said then you should be fine. the smaller the box the longer it takes for your woofer to reach max limit's good luck bro!!

yeah I think 1 run of 3/0. I had a talk with jay-cee and we figured... I already have 1 run of knu witch is pretty big. I will connect that run to my battery 1 and connect my high's amp to battery 1 also and 4/0 ground to frame. 1 run of 3/0 from front to back battery 2 and 4/0 ground also and connect both sub amps. also connect both battery's together. I am going to leave the big 3 the way it is. how does that sound? :trippy:

hey guys. quick opinion thread. I already have my big 3 done and 1 run of power from back to front with 1/0. I have a DC HO alt on its way 200 at idle. i have 2X XS D3100 now and an optima red top onder the hood i will be replacing soon. my new setup will consist of 2X Sundown 2500D witch i already have. my sub stage is a supprise only some of you know lol. My question is... do you guys think with me upgreading all my wire to Welding wire is actually nessessary? my plan is to change my big3 with all 4/0 wire. and have 2 runs of 3/0 power front to back. i am not worried about the $200+ i am spending on the supplies i need including the wire. I am just cerious to see what you all have to say about the wire upgrade. thanks an advance.

Kyle from DC just sold me my HO alternator yesterday. He made it real nice and easy. I didn't bother with a phone call, I do understand that you don't live in the US so that's probably why you decided to email them. I am sure if you can get on the phone with kyle from DC or anyone else there i am sure they are all just as good as kyle was to me lol. I expect nothing but perfection from my alternator I know i will be pleased with it. I am getting the new XP series alt from them for my GMC Envoy, it does almost 200A at idle and the original price he told me was still fair. i believe it was close to $600 and then he it came down to the perfect price! i ordered on the spot! all questions where answered right away.
