Any updates on the 2000d yet?

since this thread was brought up. any thing planned to make the sax100.2 run cooler?

or the bigger 2 channel

from what I understand is that all amps will be recieveing a new heatsink starting with the 3000d here in January. also I believe that is whats holding back the 250.2

Correct, eventually all the amps will get the new heatsink as more are built.

Any pics of new heat sinks?? Or Idea of what they look like.

Almost no apparent cosmetic change. I love the current look, the face is the same. I made the heatsink 10mm taller and placed a BUNCH of fins under the face of the amp. There are also a couple more fins on the side -- very minor change, there is no longer a space between the small side fins.

Neat design... the hot air will go up inside the case and out the sides of the fins which are open to air. A flush mount amp rack would allow forced air from fans to flow through those fins as well.

Yah, something like that. 200-amp fuse rating is correct.

would it be possible to make an amp that allows the user to select miniman impedence.

like i know the clarion amps have the ability to do full power at either 1 or 2 ohm's, i was just wondering if this would be a good idea for the sae line or would be too pointless and a waste of your effort.

damn a 2000rms would have been great for my XXX, oh well, i'll stick with a 1500, nice to see a new amp on the way though

Only bad thing, that teh SAZ1500d place will get took by teh 2000d.

But SAE1500d is come inplace of teh SAZ model.

I love teh SAZ.

not really the 2000d will be more like 2200 to 2300 more then likely. so the 1500d still will have it's place.

I may replace the SAZ-1500D with an SAE-1500D once the SAZ-2000D is released -- that is not quite set in stone yet as the SAZ-1500D is still extremely popular

Thanks. My team mate(Team Sundown) is about to get the first two of some prototype amps from Sundown. We also just got 7600 clean watts (after voltage drain and box rise) @ 12v out of two SAZ3000Ds @ 1ohm. So I am looking forward to this next season. If you compete in dbDrag in the southeast (MD, VA, TN, OH SC, NC) at all you will see me around. Look me up I always have some chit to get into.

what proto type? the man is already using saz3000d's

Mmmmm... maybe something about some changes I was working on for the 3000D that I discussed with some Team members -- didn't pan out how I wanted (would require an entirely new PCB) so the PCB board did not actually change.

my ideas for an amp

make amps efficient, simple controls

for mono blocks i would like to see ,xover(30hz-100hz dial @ 24db slope),ssfilter(15-60hz), master slave switch ..and for the noobs a bass boost(6db slope @ 40hz ) underrated...and be able to handle 10-18v and .5ohm stable daily but can be burped at .25ohms for comps of cousre strappable

for the multi-channels same as above but x2 except for the xover dial(50-400hz dial @ 24db slope) for channels 1&2 and 3&4, also a low-bandpass-high switch

1ohm stable also underrated

thats my ideas for now..
