  • Chill- Lemme break it down as simple as I can on some of us here. The IHoP is like a big dysfunctional family. -M5 would be the uncle everyone respects and takes advice from. We may not like how he p

anyone had the chance to drive an amg c63 yet? i wonder what's more fun to go sliding around in, cts-v or c63 (i'll vouch for the cts-v being a riot to ice skate around on pavement)?

yes to both, completely different vehicles.

<-- doesn't fit in a C63 very well :(

I read E63!!

The c63 would be more fun I think then hands down. Why? Because in the 2 reviews I have read they said the rear rubber doesn't have enough contact patch. That means super fun wheel spin and a big manly v8!

I am not a fan of the looks of the new c class. I call it the Mazda benz, though it looks much better with the AMG badge than the standard C. I have yet to drive either though. I don't think I would fit either Sean.

i keep seeing c63 vs v8 m3 comparisons, i don't really think the cars are all that similar. the c63 looks like a brute, and i love the hand built motor. the m3 looks like more of a purpose built road racing coupe to me. the cts-v i drove was an 05, and it sure got up quick. lots of body roll, under steer and tire smoke! i really have the hots for that c63 though, german muscle ftmfw! (not that i could afford a new amg right now)

The M3 destroys both of the options at least IMO from the drivers seat, but is more similar to the C63 than the new CTS-V.

Just read an article today about all these cars (and others) in a track test. The CTS-V was the fastest of the 3 followed by the c63 and M3. They said they had problems using the manual shift on the M3 and got there best times when in full auto mode.

and the Corvette Z52 took them all overall and all were in the same price range

Nov 2008 issue of car and driver if I'm not mistaken.

Surprisingly those 3 cars were in the 3:00-3:06 minute range for the course and the Cobalt SS was at 3:12. Made me gain some serious respect for the cobalt having nearly half the HP of the other 3 cars

But it's 5x a piece of shit in comparison and that's putting it nicely.

i'm surprised the m3 wasn't the fastest. being a coupe with a 4.0l v8 i imagined it more nimble than the two four door monsters.

must have. aww, getting angry over the internets.

Just played a full 18 holes for the first time in probably at least 2 years. Yuck, not great. There were a few shots that were beauties and fun, and a few that just went straight into the woods. Luckily the two guys they paired me with were really cool and fun to play with. Sometimes guys can be dickheads, especially if you're struggling and holding them back.

Matt Weiters is up. :)

okay i've got a new audio project. my cousin has a 1994 s500 coupe and he wants an in dash dvd/cd player. he also wants a little more audio power, and potentially an integrated gps and/or radar detector. the dash unit is single din, it's a w140 body style (but 2 door). also there appears to be four 6.5" midbass drivers on the rear deck, we were thinking we could use my zed designed 375w 2ch us acoustics amp to drive four mli-65's in the stock mounting location with some added deadener. we also have a tma 2ch ~300w amp we could run door speakers with (hopefully in the stock locations). my main question is: for starters, what single din in dash dvd player would be good a good choice? price under $1k (we were looking at pioneers like the 7800).

I played a round last weekend. Hit a bad tee shot on the 4th hole, took a mulligan. Hit a decent tee shot on the 5th hole but landed under trees and there was no way to hit over them had to keep it low. Kept it low and ended up in the sand took three shots in the sand and gave up, so I started drinking more.
