:pours a little out for a friend:

Just got news a friend has passed away, kinda knew it might have been coming but still shocking.

Sorry for your loss.

X2 It is never easy.

Same here. That news is always bad, even if it was known well before.

Little 'brother' and his wife had a baby girl this morning!!!!!!!!!!!

Cant wait to get home and see her.

I've never driven a car that scared me, I've driven some that make me smile more, and on-water speed scares the living shit out of me but I can't imagine a car ever would. (that's not to say that I can't scare the shit out of myself in a car, but I could do that in a festiva)

The first time I got into the boost in my GT it scared the shit out of me. I'd never driven a boosted car before, aside from my 2.3Ts, and I was looking for instant acceleration and it didn't happen. Once I got the revs up though and the boost came on, it got pretty hairy so I let off. You quickly become accustomed to speed though and find yourself looking for more.

I started getting used to it quick too. But if you dont wanna go over a sertain speed do it with the windows down...........Seems to make 80 feel like 100.

Then again fastest I've ever gotten was 120.

J

I've gone 150 before

(in a helicopter)

Water is the scariest. 120 was pretty much standard speed on the scooter when no one was on the roads...

I topped in the ~161 speed. No windows no doors, just leather, pads and helmet on an empty highway.

Saw some sweet shit, including all sorts of JBL speakers that don't seem to be sold in the US.

There is a lot of things that never leave their market. Where are you at in Japan?

Yokohama today, but leaving for Wakayama. Yesterday went all over Tokyo.

Ship me out a couple of sets of tires on the cheap for the sled. :)

I heard that the turbo'ed 2.3's are nifty. Any power figures for them ?

my car is getting new brakes finally :woot:

they were starting to make me nervous

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I just need to bring myself to go to the funeral, no matter who it is for I can't seem to go to the funeral by myself. Even worse is if I have to go to a hospital, I will barely step foot in a hospital with or with out some one by myside. I'll more then likely find another friend that is going there and tag along with them.

Came back from Home Depot and spent $70 on clamps :drink40: .

Mine were all stock, but I've seen them anywhere from that to upwards of 800+. A long time ago, Roush actually had one they raced that they partnered with Ford on and made a 4V head. I love that little engine.

Who knows, not in a rush to build it just yet (gotta make sure everything is done as planned, no half assing on this install or enclosure build).

I had always wanted to try some wild stuff with my old Merkur's.

New brakes are always good. My semi new breaks are frickin squeaking!!!! They said it is normal for a Jeep grand cherokee!!! I hate squeaky brakes even if it is a quiet squeak

exactly why I hardly check my messages... When I miss a call from my Dad he usually leaves a message. If I call him before checking the message, he will say check your message and call me back. Then hangs up!!!! :madsign:
