What renters insurance do y'all suggest?

The one that an insurance broker you trust suggests. NEVER work with an agent for a single company, in particular at your age. It is the equivalent of throwing money down the drain.

ya i was looking into Assurant, because it was supposedly a good deal, im covering 20k of personal property and it works out to be $426 a year.

$426 is absurd for renters, it should nearly be free with car insurance. Your car and renters shouldn't be 2x that a year.

I just got renters insurance with Progressive since I have my car insurance with them. I think my renters insurance was 264 for the year, for 15k in personal property coverage (plus a few extras like replacement cost which was 45 extra itself). Car insurance is something like 460 a year with them, though it is 12 years old. So ~620 a year for all insurance isn't bad I suppose. I think I'll be getting a bit of a refund on my car insurance as well now that I have renters with them also.
