Hard drives are there any reliable ones around. I've used WD, Maxtor, Seagate, etc. All of which have failed on me.

I'm contemplating on making the SSD jump and running the OS on a 64GB - 128GB SSD. Which ones are reliable and have great performance.

SSD and windows will not work together IMO.

Windows writes and deletes a lot of crap, too much writing going on for solid state.

Keep the OS on a regular hdd and the important stuff on SSD or an external unit.

Both, actually. I'm 6'3", and as you can see the wheels and tires are tucked into the wheel wells a little. I didn't get down on my hands and knees to check what suspension mods they had done, however. My gf wants to buy one of these someday. I wouldn't object. One of the few GM cars I wouldn't.

The only thing better would be if the entire engine was a turbo.

Maybe it's because I grew up around all the turbo rice car when I was a kid but I can't get enough. Something about the way it turns waste energy into productive energy it just awesome to me.

SSD is not reliable in general or cost effective. I could run a tripple mirror raid for less.

Heck you could run 2 striped and then mirror those for less probably.

Didn't even get a bite this morning. Kinda disappointing. With all the rain we had two days ago the water level was way up and it was very turbid.

Went out yesterday, boat traffic was insane. Had some monster follows including a fish that was pushing 55". No bites, but I was bucking the norm, the wakes, and only threw lures for an hour or so.

You bought the wrong drives. There are aggressively built drives from each company that will fail. A few years back they all started to significantly lower the fly height, but the media wasn't ready. Today that shouldn't be anywhere near as much of an issue. Just don't get the newest drive. Personally I favor WD atm.
