And now you can imagine my horror. Off to the w's family where we get to eat out of roasters and crock pots which IMO are two items that NEVER should be used for cooking anything. Of course I understand the difficulty when just her parents, their kids and of course grandkids total 48. Aidan's soon to be little brother will be grandchild #20.

  • Chill- Lemme break it down as simple as I can on some of us here. The IHoP is like a big dysfunctional family. -M5 would be the uncle everyone respects and takes advice from. We may not like how he p

Last hockey game today, then To TSO on wednesday. Thats when the fun begins

Stuffed to the gills with food and treats from yesterday!

Trying to keep warm today as it's -8F right now.

Very interesting design.. i've seen a couple go for around 1.5k.. why not go for a Stetsom or SounDigital?

is it the same/similar Technology?

Not the same ideas implemented. Stetsoms and SoundDigitals are, IMO, something like an all-out drag racer. They work for 10 seconds but you can't daily drive them or track them.

Good thing they both have excellent warranties :D

Too bad they both look like poopy chinese junk.

What part of eastern Idaho Are you from Duran? My W was born in Twin Falls. We visit her familly alot who live in Twin, and Idaho falls area's.

I went to Ihop yesterday for breakfast :peepwall:

Hope everyone had a good Christmas!

Spent the weekend at my uncle's place. My cousins got some cool toys and we had a great time testing them out. We went ice fishing yesterday with a Vexilar FL-18 Linky here. It is literally shooting fish in a barrel with that thing. It shows you your jig, the fish, and the bottom. Just lower your jig down to a fish, give a few tugs, and prepare to set the hook. I see it as a cheater method but sunnies are too damn good to argue.

Siting in my uncle's pop-up ice shack from 1981, my feet started to get fairly cold. I had thermal socks on but they just weren't good enough. I've looked at Cabela's, REI, and Bass Pro and there are a ton of options. I really have no reference to go off of. Does anybody have any recommendations or at least some advice on what to look for? It rarely gets below 0 here so they don't have to be too extreme.

Yep, you need boots with more rubber on the bottom. Thicker bottom soles are the key otherwise there is no cure for the cold. f

Thanks for the tip Sean. I borrowed some 18 inch rubber boots with a low insulation weight. I thought a 3/4" sole would've provided enough barrier from the ice but maybe not. shrug.gif Time to find boots of my own.

Way to make yourself 6'9" trink40.gif. Are you talking about these? Rocky Boots. Those aren't too bad of a price at all.
