Sean, Adrian, or Brad would you guys be interested in identifying some parts in the suckmydick dd-1 internals? I have a friend who is willing to let me take his apart!

Post away...

Forgot to ask my friend I'll ask tomorrow

Lots of yellow and black fans here at work crying tonight.

I was surprised since the Broncos got smashed by Buffalo the second to last week of the season.

Ain't nothing better than Steeler's fans crying into their beers!

I agree, it is fun picking on the people though.

Keep at it until it's right. :)

I modeled my drivers in winISD, small enclosure verse IB, and IB doesn't model any better in terms of output, slightly more rounded over FR. But I like the idea of opening up the back so both drivers see the same volume, and have closer frequency responses.

Good luck getting just the way you want it. Vented and some polyfil and they should sound great. I think fleece and a few layers of the woven mat are more than strong enough. The ass on the Anarchy's probably isn't helping the pods get any smaller either. Are you planing to start with seperate rings next time or a single baffle again?

This was the start from the current ones:

Then I found out it was just too big, so I trimmed around the edges to this:

But the shape was lost and looks like shit. I think I'll make the new ones like I started with, but there won't be a space between the mid and tweeter, and I'll trim ALL the wood around the drivers.

Thinking about using veneer edge banding around the edges, this will make the baffle recessed a bit, and give me room to make a grill cover.

did this with my bro's A pillars. worked well, but next time i think i'll use something more beefy like abs.

reminds me that i keep forgetting to post up the build log...

I am really sick of her work. Nothing like laying down at 1030 thinking we didn't have to be up till 5:30 just to find out she has to be to work at 4. Being up at 0345 when you don't gotta be anywhere will 0610 sucks.

It's all weekend and evenings. Less in class time but faster to get the schooling done. Works full time too. She is a winner...It is a M Effer trying to keep life together on my side when she has so much going on, but it will pay off. We hope at least.

:)

8 years or so in the field and still chugging along and a masters in another 3 years or so. It should be a combination to get her into middle management somewhere.

Sounds like an awesome wife there Matt! Such a task that many would not think of doing.

Price of admission is high. Especially with the stress of both our jobs. We work for a good company, just both under shitty managers. At least she just got under a new one.

Electrostatic speakers are just something else.

My dream is to have a room with a pair of Maggie 20s and a couple McIntosh mono amps. That would cost more than both cars the bike and maybe my guns if I paid MSRP.

Jim Winey's personal listening room you'd adore. :)

Who dat?

:)

The owner/founder of Magnepan. I did a ton of measurements for him at his house ;)

It would be magical to me. What did you think of the set up? I think you had a pair you sold correct?

First day with no pain meds at all other than maybe some ibuprofen.

Work and staying positive is like oil and water... Have to keep smiling to heal this thing though.

I must have confused you selling them with you buying them.

:)

Brain is getting old, and pickled in hooch.

ANT makes every websites he owns a fucking pain in the ass, $$$

And even fucks up those he doesn't own :(

Not inferring here are you?

He sure has :(

Anthony has nothing to do with SSA. John is the Second Skin presence here. Not to mention I work really hard on the proper information when it comes to sound deadening.

We finally got some snow!!! Is some nice heavy snow too. Should make a sweet base.:woot:

<---SUPER jealous. We can't seem to get under 50.

It laid down 6" in about an hour and continued all day. Was a mess on the I-70. Cars and trucks in the ditch everywhere. We can't seem to get over 40 here.

I am sure the high country where everyone rides probably got closer to a couple feet. Can you say POWDER!!!

I enjoy discussing sound deadener with ppl. The science behind it is fun. That being said most ppl don't have a clue.

I cannot say enough at how much a difference it was when we thinsulated my roof. Was huge for this super cold, curious as to how it will do with the very hot days. I can make it almost all the way to work and there will be frost still on the top because most of the heat from the cabin did not make it up. :)
