All for about the same price as a BGE XL + Nest + BBQ Guru...makes perfect sense...

Cast burners are found in real grills, stainless ones fail yearly. Include replacement cost in the overall assessment of a "good buy"

God I hate drivers around here. We got 10cm (4") of snow last night and the entire town shut down ... Had friends over, we went to order pizza and the pizza place said they weren't delivering because of the snow. I'm 4 blocks (yes, 4 fucking blocks) away down the main road, which is clear, and they refused to deliver. Called some other pizza places and they all said the same thing. So I had to "risk my life" (sarcasm, FYI) to drive a whole 4 blocks on perfectly clear roads to pick up pizza instead of spending that 20 minutes hanging out with my friends. On top of that, my Facebook page was filled with posts of people saying they weren't going to work because it snowed, complaining about having to "dig" themselves out, etc. They closed down the mountain pass to the capital city because a bunch of fucking morons don't know how to drive a fucking mountain road in the fucking winter (put on chains, drive slower than usual).

What a bunch of fucking pussies ...

pretty sure i fixed my car. new coil boots seemed to do the trick. i tried cleaning the old ones when i swapped the plugs but i must have not been enough.

If your car has the recessed plug holes that have the huge boot on the end then your problem could be as simple as cheap plug wires. I refuse to use anything other than NGK wires on my Honda. My first car that had that plug boot style setup would stall on the highway and I would change plug wires with extras I had and the car would restart. The mechanics shop I have used for 15 years told me that cheap auto parts store wires will do this every time.

Another note. You can test plug wires with a DMM. They shouldn't have more than one ohm resistence per inch of lenght. so a 10" wire shouldn't read above 10 ohms or its bad.

I've been using my ms8 with all it's fancy processing set off, only using crossovers, for the last four months or so.

With the processing on, imaging dramatically improved, but vocals and instruments seemed shallow, and midbass was lacking. I know the ms8 is designed to yield a flatter FR and gets rid of the artificial midbass bump a lot of people including me are use to and enjoy.

The max acceptable listening volume also decreased with the processing on, imagine turning the volume knob down four or five clicks (rough idea). Turning the volume knob higher then set before / adjusting gain does not alleviate the problem, it only introduces a "scratching", "scraping" sound.

Visibly the cone is barely moving more then a few mm.

I'm hoping with the new kicks they will overall improve the FR, hopefully less issues will have to be adjusted by the ms8, and of course I can play with the EQ to help gain that midbass and "fullness" to the vocals, while having the processing set back on.

I've changed the crossover points and slopes to see if that reduced the "scratching", "scraping" sound, and it did not help one way or another. Tried lower crossover point and steep slope, higher xo point steep slope, and everything in between.

I'm beginning to think more power and headroom will solve the loudness issue.

I'm considering two of these aura 2x150watt and running each to an exodus ex-anarchy (Re 6.4ohm, 125w rms).

Currently I'm using an eclipse amp (4ohm 75w).

Sounds like the auto tune on the PXA-H100. I turned the sub and midbass amp gains down while runnuing the auto tune program to try tricking the mic and program.

The Aura amp will only do mono when bridged.

If you are feeding the the drivers a clean sig, you should be able to run about triple rated power to the mids. This will allow you the power for the dynamic peaks that you are lacking now bc you are clipping the shit out of them right now.
