My son also found my old collection of CD's....they are primarily all rap from my younger days. Not really my preference now-a-days, but I'll probably spend a few nostalgic days cycling through them in the car.

I will admit though, I was pretty excited to pop Sir Mix A Lot "Posse on Broadway" in the car today biggrin.png

Sure wish I had a system in there though sad.png

I have Buttermilk biscuits and Square dance rap in my collection. I love teh oldskool rap.

Switch the timing for when you salt and pepper.

Salt pulls moisture. You want it long enough to make the meat sweat, but not to dry it out. Pepper flavors, so longer is better.

Before salting make sure to dry them extremely well.

Definitely, forgot to mention that I did that.

WTF??? Lost me with those two.

Putting anything on a ribeye is a sin in my eyes. You are ruining it even with salt and pepper.Doh.gif

If you don't season, you don't cook. /discussion

Seriously. FIRST thing they'll teach you in chef's school is how to wield the salt. Too bad it's also the first thing that most chef's fail at.

Obviously you are younger than we are.

I love me some salt.

You guys would likely cringe at my cooking!

I CANNOT stand listening to my car. So much fucking rattle. Next time I get paid deadening is the first thing on my list. Hope Don settles to send me some stuff without questions from my side, just money. :/

I've found that a lot of rattles can be fixed with closed cell foam in the exact spots it rattles. I'm anal about rattles and in a 15 year old car they were plenty.

I have panels flexing and I want to have a VERY quiet vehicle. CCF will help, but with a portion of my problems.

Now that my itch for a lot of bass is scratched next thing I'll settle for is a nice front that is not disturbed by road noise.

I laughed so hard at this teo, wishful thinking there man, but I do feel the same.

Had the same experience?

You always go overboard and make shit so much harder than it has to be. faintthud.gif

No way to do this easily....unless you spend a SHIT ton of cash.

One option CAN make this easier, it's mono smile.png

Wasn't the point of the minidsp to make it cheap?

Cheap with future flexibility. And yes, it's pissing me off. A $10 pot would be fine, but $50. FUCK.

Right. I spent $25 on a $70 flashlight only to turn around and spend $40 on a battery and charger.

Any advice on a gaming mouse? Something cheap, idk around the $20 mark?

Thank you Sean. I had to get some lump and they gave me some high temp stove sealer.

Nice gasket material and once it heated up it formed real nice.

My plan was to use one of those as a master. It'd be the volume control, but I still need "faders" for the channels.

One miniDSP will do the processing for some pro audio mids and horns.

The second miniDSP will do the processing for the in boat speakers and sub.

If I used the miniDSP pots then I couldn't have the sub on loud with only the towers which will be my normal listening environment. Loud for either the rider behind the boat or the people swimming in the water. Not as loud for those sitting in the boat as they will be in close proximity. Then while cruising, towers off and the boat speakers & sub on. Vastly different sub levels.

So I could use just the two miniDSP pots and get a normal volume pot for the in boats. The only problem with that solution is if I want an overall volume I'll need another pot on the input to the miniDSP and running ADC with low level input will increase the noise and then when I use DSP on the noisy signal everything is degraded.

Can't believe there are no VCA kits available anymore. Fuck me. :(

Seals way better than the felt, well not way for the first time, but once you use the felt and it gets hard it sucks. This doesn't seem to and burps won't melt it. My first oops burp completely wiped out the stock gasket. Burnt the fuck up

I'd get it nice and hot before cooking with it closed in case the sealant you used has any volatile nasties in it.

Amusingly when I did that, I melted part of the new gasket. Yep, 1750 temp material can still melt in a komodo. Tells you how hot you can get it. :)
