I can't wait to get to testing :)

If you are wondering why the Fs isn't like 20 Hz on the 15 inch... that is because we stiffened it up a bit to keep box size down.

Suggest Box Specs :

SA-15 :

Sealed @ 2.5 cubes (Qtc = 0.888) - F3 of 42 Hz

Ported @ 3.0 cubes tuned to 35 Hz - F3 of 30 Hz

SA-10 :

Sealed @ 0.75 cubes (Qtc = 0.649) - F3 of 50 Hz

Ported @ 1.25 cubes tuned to 35 Hz - F3 of 29 Hz

Very nice! Waiting for testing results!

What are the rms of those subs or your wont know till you start testing (are these the monsters, or just another line of subs)? Subs look excellent, hopefully 1-15" will be good enough for my 2000D.

These would be the same series as the SA-12 which is a lower power sound quality subwoofer. Iirc these are in the 600 Watt RMS class.

sweet pics!!! and very small enclosure recommendations!!! very nice!! =)

Indeed, this is our 600-watt line.

They do look just like a little Monster, though ;) They have the same cooling.

10" is very nice

I can see (2) of the 10s in my install next year. :)

Hey Jacob what sort of time frame are you looking at to have the 10s avalible Im finaly about ready to get my car done after all this time and I was thinking of switching up plans for it to 8 of the 10s

You should get some Kurt ;)

Let me know when the 10's will be ready

10s tested great - the 15" needs a different cone... sampling that.

Once all testing is complete pre-orders will open up on them.

by when should we be able to order them im ready to order some 10s and 15s got the sa12s already

Both the SA-10 and SA-15 will come standard with two performance upgrades from the current SA-12 (the next run of 12s will include these standard too).

1) Custom tooled triple joint strengthening ring. The only failures to date under any condition of the SA-12 have been of this joint under *extreme* abuse -- in my case 1200-1800 watt burps in tested.

2) 12 drilled basket holes for cooling rather than four. After extensive testing I found that 12 holes are more beneficial than either 4 holes or a "wide open" setup like the basket spacers on Nightshade 18s and/or the 12-spoke frame. The air velocity stays high but allows more flow than the original four holes.

I can add both of these during a re-cone :)

I got the new cone samples for the 15" model... they are WAY better. So now the SA-10 and SA-15 parts selection is done. I will work up pre-order details soon.

4200 watt burp -- 149.8 dB

Two 3500s @ 1 ohm each nominal strapped, only set as high as the sub would allow before acting funny mechanically (leaving gap).

I did not clamp it at 149.1 but I was running just two 2000s @ 1 ohm each nominal... my rise is to ~3 ohms per amp. So it was ALOT less power. I did not gain much going to 3500s as it wasn't liking it mechanically.

I think this sub would do better with alot less port area... IMO, it doesn't have enough motor force to really pressurize this giant port. But all in all it did quite well.
