just curious as to what everyone else is tuning at for daily. right now i have a single 15 Nightshade at 32 hz, but i heard that 35hz was better? im looking more ground pounder style then ###'s on a meter. so what is everyone running and tuning wise?

Personally I go with 30 hz (and I gets a lot of people that hate my setup because I dont use a huge port for practical purposes). you won't actually hear anything below that in a vehicle it will just be felt. With bigger speaks (15s and up) you will get big numbers do to surface area alone if your enclosure is decent at all. Now if you want 50s and up on the reg I would say use a drop in port system tuned lowlow for daily then at the resonant freq of the vehicle for comp. Good luck pimpin.

I have no experience with Nightshades but from what you posted it already seems like you have it tuned at 32hz which is technically groundponder status, if you tune it higher then you will be worried about numbers instead of groundpounder style. just my .02

well my next desgin with have interchangeable ports 1 at 30hz 1 at 35 hz and 1 in the 40's, so i can play all and see what i like best, im more of a 30-32 hz guy, and ken you need to drive down my way so i can hear yours!! also i will be adding a 2nd 15" nightshade to that desgin.

Anywhere from 30-35hz is fine for daily, but really depends on what you listen to. if you listen to rap/hiphop, i'd tune to 35 and below. If you listen to more metal/rock i'd do 36-42hz.

I built a box with my friend, tuned @27hz, i loved it cuz it played every note down to 25hz, loud and proud. with a $30 woofer. then he put a half stick of dynamite in it and blew it up a month later cuz it didn't fit in his mustang. Dumbass....

Daily -- could you be more subjective? What do you think an SQ head runs "daily".

Ground Pounder -- are you trying to be a social menace?

heard 35hz is better -- for what? better again is subjective.

If you frickin' want output just say so and describe what the hell you listen to. All the responses so far really aren't answers to your question. 32Hz tuning isn't exactly optimized for output, lol.

and yes i heard tuning nighshades were better tuned at 35 then anything lower, as it still hits all the lows? never tuned that high so i dont know, it was a question!

i listen to the odd C&S song, and a lot of low hitting songs. but also listen to some reg rap/hip hop. but i love more low lows hence why i said ground pounder....
