Could you run a 4500D on 16v at .5 at it not hurt it? someone told me with the independence rise it wouldnt hurt it...jw if you guys knew he answer :) o bwt it will be goin on 2 12" BTL's..

Are you talking impedance rise? Are you running this daily or SPL? I would recommend running the amp for short durations at that impedance. Do you have the electrical to supply that amp?

independence, lol

Anyways, as stated, if you have a BEEFY electrical system it SHOULD be ok.

However, I'll let jacob give you the final answer because I think he would know better than I would. :)

Of course 1/2 ohm is not covered by free replacement warranty... but I have tested at 0.5 and 16v with no problem.

Great idea just in case something happens (which it wont it will still be covered). Make sure you buy Dual 1 ohm BTLs'.

i didint know if the independence rise would effect it...and if u dont ask you'll never know...

hopefully you typed independence rise as a joke this time, its impedance rise.

Are you sure you bought two Dual 1 ohm subwoofers because you stated in your first post that you wanna wire them down to .5 ohms, what voice coil configuration are you subwoofers?

If you blow that one at .5 ohm, I know where to get another one cheap...

Can you even wire two 1 ohm DVC subs down to .5 ohm?

I have dual 1's now...if i could run the amp at .5 i was gonna try to trade them off and buy or recone them to dual 2's..
