  • I have a board that cut to make a 3/4 lid for the old spare tire area, now the new battery storage area when I get two new batteries. The board covers up most of the area, leaving some room in the bac

  • Im not gonna carpet the lid, it is sprayed with speckle paint and will stay like that. Thats exactly why I didnt make the lid take up the whole storage space and the box will be wider than it is deepe

  • Very good input on paint being scratched off so that will be a good idea, I wont put the board in the car until I finish painting the other side and putting some type of dampening down to keep it from

J-Bodies are Cavaliers and Sunfires and I probably wont get metered to spring since all the dBDrag around here is shut down til it warms up and I still havent found a shop close enough to test me.

I linking my build thread in the Z15 thread.

I havent been up to anything yet, considering Im unemployed at the moment the speed of this build log wont be that fast but I will definantly be keeping you guys posted. I will have multiple pictures of my new baby when it get heres tomorrow and a new Avatar so get ready fellas.

I will be getting the bottom board for my battery rack cut sometime today or this weekend by a friend since I dont have any tools. I just met a member on this site who stays in my area who has tools so a box for this puppy may be here before you know it. Eventually sometime in the future I may get Thumper or Fisher Customs to make me an enclosure for it just because there designs are sick (depends if this sub is a keeper or not but I think it will be).

Pictures as promised, this is my first 15'' subwoofer (9 out of 10 of my last systems were 12"s and one set of sorry as 10"s). I have no words to describe how I feel, wish I had a box for this puppy. I did hook it up to the house stereo on free air just to see if it worked and get a little umph from it, too excited.

Yeah I got about 10 autographed balls in this house, I even have a hat or ball dont remember(my mom put it up somewhere) with Kobe Bryant, Shaq, Magic Johnson and some other players who played with the Lakers at the time (in elementary school my teacher loved me to death and her daughter got it signed for me since she was a cheerleader for the Lakers in the early to mid 90's.

Started on an amp board that will turn my 60/40 fold seats into one long folding seat, once I get all screws in I will put pads over screws so it wont scratch the bottom of my amps when I have done this in the past.

Should be finished by end of weekend, depends on if I find a drill or not.

Looks nice man. Keep it up. Is it always good to have 4 awg power and then bigger ground (ie doing 0/1 awg for the grounds?) Just wondering...

Other than that I need to do a sick amp rack and install it to look cool haha.

No it is not common at all but I was told it gives you better voltage and less voltage drops at idle so I went for it and havent looked back at all. I get a starting voltage of 14.8-15.2volts when car is cranked on and no accessories with stock battery and alternator.

Thats a good idea with the pad

looking great so far

Thanks I appreciate ya. Yeah this was my third time doing this amp board thing and didnt know it was scratching the bottom of my amps till I took it off the last time and looked at the bottom of my SAX-125.2. I will add another SAX-125.2 with padding on the other side once I purchase it. In a minute Im gonna pull the amp up and flip the padding over so the even side will be under amp and not in the way of the settings as it is now with the elevated pieces up.

Looks good! When do you start on the box? Lemme see some more pictures of the thump-maker! :fing34:
