February 2, 201015 yr Author Im exicted just to hear my sub, dont really care for the enclosure but Im pleased with my effort. I will be building the same box over again in the future when I get some more patience on my hands. It was a quick idea to build the box and not a well thought out plan which would of helped the box come out easier and better looking. It was fun and well worth it, Im excited I got my first box done and cant wait to get better at building enclosures. I learned a lot of do's and dont's today while making this enclosure that will help me in the future with enclosure building.
February 2, 201015 yr Nice work Jay. A few more steps and that Z15 is ready for some power. I hope you like the performance as much as I do.
February 2, 201015 yr Author I honestly think it will be right up my alley and cant wait to hear that first note from it, I havent had ear sex in over 3 months (I miss my bass).

February 2, 201015 yr so, like , it has been a while for me too, so i just drive south for two hours and have shizzzon's four DC's gangbang my ears, then i am good for a couple of weeks till my holes heal up, lmao!excited for you to be able to finish, " dam you, drill" , lol.Man, that whole patience issue, i wish i could posses it, everytime i tell myself to take it slow, FAIL, i always end up short cutting myself some where along the build. lolthe box don't look hideous though, nothing like bad about it and i bet it will do just fine for now!!!chop
February 2, 201015 yr how will you be cutting the sub hole?in the shape of a circle of course, lmaosorry, was feeling a bit goofy there, lol
February 2, 201015 yr Since Im putting my amp on box I already have 4 padded feet for it but decided to see if I could find some more egg foam and I did, not much though it is only 10" x 10" but cant complain what you get for free. I will just center it behind the amp unless I can find some more of it at my Aunts house.Hey Grandpa wants to know why his mattress pad is 12" shorter than it use to be.

February 2, 201015 yr Author how will you be cutting the sub hole?Whatever I can get my hands on that cuts in a circle, havent thought about it yet. I didnt even plan on building the box yesterday and you see what happened so who knows but it will get down in due time.

February 11, 201015 yr Author Wheres the box?In my living room, still no top on or holes cut for sub and speaker wires. I need a new radio before I install it so this wont go in anytime soon, the only upgrades is the padding for the amp is on the back of the enclosure. To busy trying to decide on my front stage right about now, updates will be slow as of now like stated earlier (trying to make this a one time only install but I know that wont be too likely).
February 12, 201015 yr Are you still planing on the horns and XS-69 midbass? I'm sure I'll try horns some day, I bet they have that "in your face" effect? Never heard any. I am real interested in the ID XS-65 comps, Probably the matching midbass Or the XS-69 also. I have to drive 200 miles to hear them though. Do you read the ID forum at all?
February 12, 201015 yr Author Yeah Im actually about to go there in a minute after I type this post, the forum is pretty slow and I got better help by calling them which went well. I just spoke to them this morning and came across the x69 and beginner horns for now, all the crossover and specs needed to set it up and im excited to hear it myself when the install is complete.
February 24, 201015 yr Author I just got around to a little rewiring and updating my terminals on my stock battery in the trunk, damn do I need some dampening for the trunk (its looks so naked). Nothing serious guys just the basics but I thought I would share pictures.Positive TerminalNegative TerminalGround SpotWiring Overview #1Amp WiringWiring Overview #2Cover Board (Uncompleted)
March 18, 201015 yr I seen you where thinking about the ZED Leviathan. I am VERY interested in this amp also. SO MUCH SO i will probably replace my F600 and RF400 for just the one ZED amp. i just got done reading a review about the Leviathan in the feb/mar edition of Performance Auto & sound. Sounds like Steven Mantz just gets better and better the more he builds.
March 18, 201015 yr Author Haha, yeah I know its been a minute but still deciding on interior speakers and interior speakers amp while waiting for amp to sell but this process will speed up soon. A couple of changes have came so far since the beginning of the build months ago, no battery storage board anymore since I will only be using one battery going in the stock trunk location (and no battery board for the batteries I was going to place in the spare tire well).
March 18, 201015 yr I would LOVE to own the Leviathan, INFACT I have been seasoning the wife so she won't be so shocked when I buy it.LOL. I think you will be ALOT HAPPIER when you do get done by taking your time and just mocking up different things to see how they work in real time. NOTHING EVER works how I have it envisioned in my head, BUT desire is the driving force, SO keep up the gOOd work.
