Thats pretty sweet. I just bought a 3000D and was wondering before if there ever was gona be a 2500 cause that would have been perfect. But now I realize I do want 3000watts so im sure i'll be happy when the amp gets here

So... I think it is safe to say it is powerful.

We'll work on more testing at various other loads as time goes on -- we just dropped it into his setup today.

0.25 starting load... same setup it is beating the 2000D by 1000 watts.

We got 2300 with a 0.92 load on the 2000D.

Part of the reason for the huge difference is the increase in stability of the 2500D @ that ohm load -- the 2000D would protect with more volume.

Difference would be a bit less at 0.5 ohm or 1 ohm.

How exactly do you do power test and some solid abuse testing?

Im just curious

We put them in a vehicle and I have a clamp that reads out RMS power on a load... then we calculate the load by measuring voltage.

As for abuse testing... same deal, put them in cars, do lots of testing to make sure nothing breaks.
