Posted March 5, 201015 yr I was lurking around through there website and found the Fi X and i want to order 2 but i dont know the price?
March 5, 201015 yr i believe those are still in the works, that might just be an "advertisement" for them
March 8, 201015 yr What was in mind when making the FI X? Whats the rated power?SPL Comp sub? SPL Daily? SQ Daily? etc etc etc
March 8, 201015 yr I wonder what the mounting depth is. I'd love to see what a budget sub from fi is really like.
March 8, 201015 yr I was just looking at them. If they came in a 10" and d2 or s4 I would get two for my gf's 4th order when they are released lol.
April 14, 201015 yr Author Last time I recall it was about 110 for the 10 and 120 for the 12 but only had d4
April 25, 201015 yr Well if the X is their budget series and stay in the $100-140 range, Im definitely in for one to replace my Pioneer and finally try out Fi which I know will definitely impress me!Btw, will it be too dangerous if I pair the X (considering its 300watts RMS as rumored above) with my Sundown 2000D? 2ohm at 1000 RMS or even 1ohm at 2000 RMS? Do you even need to ask that question?

Do you even need to ask that question? I say do it just so you can learn from example what will happen and then be mad at yourself for messing up a brand new sub. If they could take that much power then why would they rate them at 300 watts? Answer that for me and dont say cause I see other people running double recommended rms or better to their sub.
April 25, 201015 yr The last time the offered the X, it was ment as a Home Theatre sub..Not that you can't use any woofer for any application though.
April 26, 201015 yr Well a lot of people have their subs running with way more than what their rated RMS is. Quick example, the guy from the tahoe. 2500watts to each coil when he had the BTLsAs long as its on a proper installed system (proper electrical upgrades, properly tuned and sized box etc), will there be any problems? And that includes correct gain too. Edited April 26, 201015 yr by slim142
April 28, 201015 yr Well a lot of people have their subs running with way more than what their rated RMS is. Quick example, the guy from the tahoe. 2500watts to each coil when he had the BTLsAs long as its on a proper installed system (proper electrical upgrades, properly tuned and sized box etc), will there be any problems? And that includes correct gain too.Thats the problem now days, people see someone throwing more than double the RMS to the subwoofer and everybody thinks they can do it. The sub has a recommended rms for a reason so stick with it, plus box size plays a role in amount of power being thrown at the driver among other things (competing/daily use, control of the volume knob, listening habits and so on). Just cause you see someone doing it doesnt mean you can it is way more factors to his install that allow him to use that much power on his BTL's so if you dont know why or what your doing then stick to recommended specs.
April 28, 201015 yr If you have to ask, then stay with rms rating or lower.slim, listen to what this man is saying. Lol.
