  • What else is in the system? What are you powering these with, and how much space do you have behind that wall? That is almost 400 cubic feet required for minimum IB requirements. Of worthy note, it is

  • 8 18s is still overkill, even in an IB alignment... But it is some seriously impressive overkill. I always say, you can't overdo it with subwoofer capability, and I am an SQ guy. You don't need to wo

  • My last setup was (4) Avalanche 15's in 12 cuft sealed with heavy EQ to get them down below 20 Hz. Honestly not quite enough with music. More than enough for watching movies. I am looking for effort

I ended up buying 1 1/8" plywood. It is T&G subfloor. Should be more than enough.

Hope to have pictures of the actual wall this weekend.

Got a good portion of the wall done. Got too dark to get a good pic, but here was the first panel:

Brian might wanna read up on some of that stuff about letting the drywall "float" of sorts on the walls if they haven't drywalled them yet. There's a ton of info on wall treatment stuff so you don't have annoying rattles and busting drywall :)

I've seen people do it in the past..might be something to read up on.

Thanks. I was just going to have them glue and screw it, so I will check it out.

You build my last two subs yet? :)

Just a few weeks away. . .

The room is ready for the subs, but I am not going to install them until I am moved in. Don't want them to get stolen while people are there working.

I built my IB in a line array also. Of course it was back when you could get AA Avalanche 18's. I only used 4. Your gonna love the efortless bass. You'll get usable output into the single digits. My living room has 3 large openings so the room won't pressurize, but I can still get 110 dB @ 10Hz fourteen feet from the mouth of the array.
